I received Guild Wars (Game of the Year Edition) for Christmas this year, but only got around to installing it today. Much to my disappointment, as I went to create a new account, it wouldn't take my access key!
The access key card that came inside the case only has fourteen letters in the lower right hand corner while the account creation requires 25 letters. I can't log onto the official website forum for support, and I can't return the game since it's already open. What am I supposed to do?
Access key too short?

Ya sure your looking at the right key?

I'm fairly certain it's the right key, considering there aren't any numbers on any of the other pages that came with the game, except for a code for a trial of the game that's in a little pamphlet.

Wasnt there the usual credit card sized plastic card that you scratch off to reveal the code.
Pretty certain all mine came this way

the CD key should be on the back of the CD case with silver on it that you have to scratch off.

There aren't any codes on the papers in the game case that are longer than fourteen letters. There's one on almost every piece of paper, but none of them seem to be correct.

Alright, i just looked at my Goty box.
I have a square, black piece of paper that says guildwars:Game of the year edition: access key card, i open it up and it has just the access key in it.
Do you have a black piece of paper that you can open up?
I think that was from the old prophecies case, Goty doesn't have a cd case.

This is probably too late for GW, but I suggest that Anet should put a starburst or bubble in the front of the package that says "Make sure you have the paper thingie in the box" or something.
This seems to be a recurring question here, as retailers handle boxes differently everywhere. Some only have empty boxes on shelves, while others will open the box in front of the customer for him to check the contents.
Considering that the access code is so important, it should be very clear what it is, perhaps as big as the manuscript book, and with big letters saying its important.
Kids and parents who might not be familiar with games buy this stuff. New customers also get confused.
