I have NF and Proficies and just got Factions
if i try to make a D/A in Factions will i still be able to do missions
and can i buy that professions armor in that game or would i have to go to NF to buy armor

You can't create a Dervish in any chapter except Nightfall, which you would have discovered once you tried. Nightfall and Eye of the North are the only places to get Dervish armor.

You can only make Dervishes and Paragons in Nightfall. You can make your D/A in NF then travel across to Cantha at a later stage when you will be able to do the missions.
Bear in mind there is a Legendary Guardian title, so obviously any character can do all the missions in all three chapters.
