So ... no. You can go through RoT as a wammo with healing skills, it doesn't mean the build isn't fail.

A PvE paragon without SY is pretty fail. SY is pretty much a staple on a PvE paragon. Sure you'll still be effective without it, but a +100 armor party wide buff that can be kept up almost indefinitely is just amazing. Theres no reason you shouldn't have it.

If you die, you either aggro'd a couple of mobs in hard mode or for some reason you're doing something horribly wrong. Instead of spear of lightning, swap it out for spear of fury. Optional would be the command shout that causes weakness so you can always cast that and throw spear of fury to get the adrenaline gain.

Ark, isn't that suggested build of yours pretty energy heavy? Looks like you can easily run into problems with that one.

Is there something i can replace SY with until I get that far with para in factions? You can get SY! from GH.

You can get SY! from GH. Yeah but you need to be able to get to Factions so that the dude will sell it to you.
As long as you hadn't unlocked the travel to Cantha - the dude will just offer you scrolls/jade/amber/raise rep.

There bar will be inferior, but not fail. If you have factions and nightfall and you choose to not bring SY, that's fail. If you only have nightfall, there's nothing you can do.



I'm guessing you've never played a paragon. Leadership, read the description. At 12 leadership, you get 6 energy per shout when you're in your 8 man party. You'll be using SY every 4 attacks, which is 6 energy every few seconds. If you run into energy problems, you're either getting blocked or you're just bad. Or you are SPARTAAAAAA

Seriously. If you manage to run out of energy on a paragon in a full party, there's something seriously wrong.
