rit/x or n/rt as a channeler?

I noticed as I play through some lower end pve areas (prophecies before desert). That using sab's build with the ss is a waste since it takes a lot longer to kill low enemies with ss. So up until now I would just throw in a mind blast rodgorts spammer.

But I was curious, couldn't their be a good rt/x or n/rt build to spam channeling skills while gaining soul reaping?

I hardly ever play rits so I don't have a clue as to what to start with their builds. So I came here for support in trying to figure out a good channeling build for either a rit or necro primary.

You're better off sticking to the fire ele, tbh.

Channeling direct damage is mostly pretty bad; channeling's strongest damage-dealers are Splinter Weapon and Ancestors' Rage on the physicals.

You could max out Soul Reaping and channeling on a N/Rt and bring Icy Veins, Splinter Weapon, Ancestor's Rage, Signet of Lost Souls and Bloodsong to provide another spirit for any restoration N/Rt's in your team.

That could be interesting, tossing in icy veins for added damage. Very nice idea, I think I will have to try that out.

N/Rt with blood ritual, gaze of contempt, wep of fury, splinter, warmongers, ancestors rage and spirit rift is haxor. Those spells are way too expensive for a rt primary without going offering of spirit. I had good results wit it.

Also: channeling rit > fire ele because of the aggro scatter and additional utility.

I wonder if heroes would put ancestor's rage and splinter on a golem.

However, pre-desert Prophecies, Rodgort's blows mobs up with a single cast.

Both do have a casting delay and smaller aoe, though, so Rodgort's might still be faster when you're popping things in one hit. On the other hand, you can have both on the same skill bar, which might make up for that.

[skill]savannah heat[/skill][skill]searing heat[/skill][skill]teinai's heat[/skill][skill]liquid flame[/skill][skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]fire attunement[/skill][skill]death pact signet[/skill]
12+ whatever Fire,
10 Channeling
8 energy

... on a Hero, and they're good with Splinter.
