Main Character choice for Hall of Monuments.
Sanji
It's been a long while since I last posted much less played Guild Wars. (Long story short, hardware problems that made the game virtually unplayable on my old machine)
A lot has changed since I last played, one being a ton of new Titles and of course the Hall of Monuments. I'm left with a pretty hard decision, which of my characters do I shoot to fill up my Hall of Monuments with for transfer to Guild Wars 2.
Let's just say...I don't exactly want to get 35 sets of prestige armor, 140 miniatures, etc etc.
So I thought I'd ask everyone here, what Profession did you decide to trick out your Hall of Monuments with and why?

Mahanaxar
Ranger, because she's my first real character (first was a warrior, but he's just a farming slave).
30 months old, 7 mil experience. Got her first through every chapter, completed all tyrian missions+bonus before titles were introduced with factions, got her FoW armor and 6 more elite armors.
And obviously because I have more fun playing ranger than any other class.

agrios
My warrior. Its always my first choice when it comes to gaming.
Nevin
I always wondered if Anet would force hall of monuments to keep the last name of that character. By that I mean, in order to get the benefits in GW2 you'd need a character with the SAME last name. I'm sure some people won't like this, especially me.
Toutatis
For me, it was a very easy decision when it came to filling up my hall of monuments. My mesmer is my main character, the character who I have the most fun playing with and the character that I've invested the most time and effort into developing. No decision necessary, really... He was the only choice
Vicks
Although I'm not very good at playing Warrior compared to a caster class like Necro or Mesmer, I always use my Warrior for collecting accomplishments and accolades such as this. I guess I have a soft spot for him because Vicks The Vice was the first character I ever made, ever. I even had an early incarnation of him during beta. He's grown on me.
Faer
Paragon, because damn it all, if the thing can flip the godmode switch on command, it deserves the extra goodies.
Kusandaa
I'm not sure I even thought about it either; it was my necromancer automatically. It's the profession I've enjoyed playing the most throughout those years, and with all the time I've spent on this character, I had no choice as well. Clearly my favorite; I beat campaigns on him before everyone else, he got my first set of elite and FoW armors, and he's the only one that gets max titles for the sake of getting max titles (unlike my ranger or my monk who made it R8 LB while farming DOA x]). My mini pets are dedicated to his HoM as well.
Zeek Aran
My warrior, because he's the most capable of doing anything. That, and he already have a ton of titles on him and I can't afford/wastetimewith getting them all on a different character.
Diddy bow
Assassin
Just the class i like the best. Somtimes i think i should have picked ranger though.

netniwk
Atm my warrior, may change to the necro I am curently playing.
Big_Daddy
My necro, he was the one that I first finished all the campaigns with and I am really fond of him.
HayesA
My Ele. She was my first toon, and I love her to death. I dunno what else to say... except that my primary is my female ele from Proph.
MagmaRed
My Ranger, because its the one I enjoy using the most. Just wish I could solo farm with her as easily as I can with my Monk
upier
Luckily I don't have GWEN because my main changes weekly!
Let's just say I waste a LOT of gold on worthless trash - weekly!

MercenaryKnight
My paragon. Because it is fun giving an entire party 100 al and negating damage like crazy. Also helps a lot for when I eventually work on hard mode missions and vanquishes.
Lilanthe
Warrior, 'cause she was my title hunter.
Steboy93
My warrior, he was my 1st, favourite and best character.
aapo
I just took the logical approach. Now I play what I like and how I like, without giving a damn about some stupid underwhelming hall of monuments which makes people grind and grief.
Matrim Cauthon
I chose my Ranger. He wasn't my first character, but i just loved to play him. Now he is practically all i play unless a guildie needs help and they already have a ranger.
Plus, he had the most titles and campaigns beat when i started.

Arkantos
Warrior. He was my first character, he's my main character, he's the class I play most in PvE.
artay
My first character that I still have around, 26 months old. Love my Ele and I'm a sucker for sentiment.
Tatile
My Necro's heading for a full hall, with obvious exception of the Weapons monument (I'm not made of money). However the first character to have something put up in their hall was my Ritualist, as she was the first I took up North (Norn armour was the appeal).
None of my others get enough love or play to justify a hall. My warrior might, if she gets full Glads instead of just the combo pieces.

~ Dan ~
Dervish. Because he's my only PvE char
I love easy decisions.
I love easy decisions.
genofreek
Dervish, because Laura's the only character of mine who's deliberately doing anything title-related. :P I get the armor and weapons I want most for my characters regardless of the HOM, and I play the game the way I want even if it means fewer statues.
My Asura/Norn/Dwarf/Vanguard titles are currently pretty pathetic, though. I hate grind. :P

Seriously, I don't give a damn about HoM. I just put everything in it that my 10 characters can put into it. All have fancy armor sets, all have 3 games finished, all have kurzick title to display, most of them have a hero or two with fancy armor. That is more than enough for me....
I find it pointless to grind my ass off doing something that I don't like, with a reward in GW2 that will most likely resemble a holiday hat.

Mesmer for me. It seemed like a good 'challenge', and I certainly like collecting all the 15k armours for her.
maraxusofk
i say my war cuz its wut i love to play with in pve/pvp and its my very first character. spent too much time on him though.

It's really sad they made people have to make choices like that and not be able to just play the game normally as they did before.
I expected HoM to be account-based as it would be the only way it would make any sense for rewarding and those screenshots showing armors from different professions there helped in creating that hype. But we all know what it really was and how bad and far from expectations HoM really is.
So I had a hard choice between 2 main characters who had about the same level of advancement, my Monk (representative char, with FoW armor etc.), Ele (first character, now a little more into pve titles) and I still haven't made my final choice.
I wholeheartedly hate this system which gives advantage to players not attached to old characters which cannot get Legd Survivor or LDoA, system rewarding doing things players really don't want to do (craft Destroyer Daggers, Bows, Scythe etc. for a caster, craft armors they really don't like) and one that (probably) gives advantage to the most hardcore grinders who can produce multiple completed HoMs...
Account-based rewarding system, 1 common HoM for all characters would be godawesome and would remove the need of having to make unwanted decisions and overcommiting to one char. Getting all the Destroyer weapons and all the elite armor sets is not a problem, it's just absurd that they all have to go for one character that won't use most of them.
/end rant
Because of that I currently just play the game as I like (mostly PvP, which gets no recognition in HoM beyond the easy to gain ranks), ignoring the HoM bs... I'll probably get nothing in GW2 despite being a hardcore dedicated fan of the game nonstop since very beginning...

CyberMesh0
My necro. Most played, most titles earned.
Meat Axe
I used my ranger for the HoM, because she was my LDoA character, and I decided she was to be my title character. However, I do plan to have a couple more HoM (don't know if I'll ever go through with it though), because I want to leave my options open to play different races in GW2.
As for the naming thing Nevin brought up, I really hope there are no naming constrictions tied in with the inheritance. I don't often use fantasy names with a first and last name. My names almost always go along the lines of "Meat Axe" or "Robot Plant" or other pretty insane nicknames. I've already got an idea of what I'm going to play first in GW2, a Charr, and a name, and it has nothing to do with the "last name" of my HoM character.

Ghost Omel
My Warrior

E)I love him

Tyla
Ranger - he is my first character, my main character and will always be, my character.
RANGERS FTW!!
RANGERS FTW!!
Kryth
My nec Kryth. He has all the titles n all the goodies. I've accomplished everything with him first. Not even a choice really.
pamelf
My monk...She's the one I play most.
Trx
Paragon. My favorite PvE class since NF released (wings and floating in the air animations = awesome). Ofcourse PvE skills made em crazy overpowered and people act like playing a paragon automaticly means you have no skill now but oh well. Also had the most maxed titles and with the Hall of Monuments forcing you to focus on 1 character I got rid of other 'alts' and am left with this guy and a rit to farm with.
Sanji
Wow, thanks for all the responses.
Yeah, I'm not expecting the inheritance to be anything that'd alienate the new players/those that didn't transfer as much as "HEY LOOK AT ME I HAVE A SWORD THAT LOOKS NEAT "/etc. Regardless, I'd like to at least try and have a semi-concentrated effort on one character towards making mine look nice.
My problem is that I have two Prophesies characters that are my frontrunners, my Necromancer and Monk. Though I like my Prophesies Ranger, he doesn't beat them out. On the side I have my Ritualist that is a serious contender but I think most of the Ritualist prestige armor looks goofy so that's a strike against him. For my other Factions character, well, I'm not much on my Assassin so he's out.
For my last two characters, I never played Nightfall enough to get a clear opinion on where my Dervish and Paragon stand.
