Extreme lag on Guild Wars
Jebus
Hello, a few days ago my lag on Guild Wars increased a lot. In Kamadan I get pings of 150k+ and lots of freezes. Downloading files from Guild Wars only goes at 2 kb/sec MAX. I don't have any connection problems on other games/sites.
My speedtest result is normal for the connection I have:
I also noticed that loading Kamaddan takes a very long time, while other places load immediatly, in Kamaddan the game usually doesn't go past the loading screen. I noticed the computer isn't doing anything though. CPU usage for GW is at 0% and memory usage only at around 50k MB.
I'll provide any info needed, I just want to have this problem fixed.
Edit; it will probably also load very slow in other big cities, I haven't been able to test it yet. Usually the loading screen stays at 100% in Kamaddan, and after a few mins it loads. It's impossible to run around though, too much lag.

EDPnet has some serious routing issues.
The fact is that you're pinging to a server in Mechelen, which is in the same country as EDPnet's.... And A.Net's servers are NOT in Mechelen, so try pinging a North American server.

HI
I have the same problem and it also started a few days ago. It's very irritating because I was in a sort of GW-addiction and now I can't do more than just run around in the GuildHall. I'm with EDPnet too but we are changing to scarlet, hopefully Guild Wars will back work as it used to before. Any news when the problems are gonna be solved? On games like Counter Strike Source I'm not having lag so I think it's the connection between the adsl-connections of edpnet&co and the guild wars network. My friend who lives like 250m from me hasn't got lag on gw but he's with telenet and that's internet by tv-cable.

I'm on scarlet as well, zero lag.
Like I said, routing issue.
Where it would take a normal network to take 3 steps to get to some points, EDPnet might have to take 30.

1200 FPS O.o
Anyway, my lowest ping used to be around 25-30, that's about a week ago. Never had 6 though, not that I want it... I just want to solve this problem.

ohh by the way fps has really nothing to do with internet ping and speed for those who wanted to know, ping is your internet, fps is your processer card and ddr

If most games work fine, but GW doesn't, then your ISP sucks at routing towards A.Net. Complain to your isp. Do some tracert's.

Today I think it was a prob at Aranet ....
At the event of 11:00 GMT lot of ppl got loads of lag and after a while connctions went down.
It took about 5 minutes before all was restored again.
Routing issues can occur, but it's a bit very very strange that so much ISP's there routing would suck, isn't it... and it seems it is not just a problem of a few ppl.
In my opinion it has rather to do with the servers you're connected to
