I'm not sure if this has already been posted, and if it hasn't I'd be surprised.
Anyway, I think there should be some kind of note you can put on every person in your friends list to say how you know the person. Most of the people on my friends list are just people I grouped with that were competent or someone I farmed with, and I just put them on there to pm later and forget about them. Then I end up cleaning out my friends list of random people and I can't remember why I put them there in the first place. I assume ANet doesn't do this because they don't want to use the extra space, but I still think it would be very useful to just move my cursor over a name and have a little box popup with a note I wrote saying who they are. The note would be small and be limited to so many characters long of course.

Yeah this has been posted before, and not only once. But i have to agree it would be very nice to have this little future even jsut a 20 character long note( such as "prot monk guest"
