bow skins

I have lots of bows ant trouble selling them cos people say they dont like the skins, so im going to salvage and remake them - what skins tend to be most popular ? - hornbows, flatbows, longbows, recurve etc etc ?

It depends on the actual skin, not just recurve, longbow etc. Not sure what is the "hot" skin these days. Probably silverwing bows.

Like Sundering "Silverwing" recurve bow of Fortitude etc. Have to search for the rare skins, as I am not up to speed on rare bow skins.

ALL of the value of items are the skin... which as Hexum said isn't "hornbow, recurvsive, etc." but actual type (tormented, turtle shell, etc.). You won't get any value off adding mods. Its better to sell a good bow un modded and sell the mods seperately.

You were probablly selling plain weapons skins, which, since you can get those from a collector, have no value.

Maybe this is only my experience, but I find bows to drop a ton. Even rare skin bows seem to be easier to track down than a rare skin anything else. But, then again, that could be just me.
