Smiter's Boon
For 30 seconds, your Smiting Prayers have double the Divine Favor bonus.
"For each rank of Divine Favor, allies are healed for 3.2 whenever you cast Monk spells on them. Several Monk skills, especially spells relating to energy gain and healing, become more effective with a higher Divine Favor."
I don't get how Smiter's Boon works exactly, so can someone please explain.

Say you have 10 divine favor. A monk spell you cast on an ally will heal them for 32 normally. With smiter's boon up, if you cast a smiting prayers skill (like reversal of damage) they get healed for +64 (or 2x +32's to be more precise).

One thing to note! Smiter's Boon only affects spells cast on yourself or your allies. like Reversal of Damage, and Smite Hex.
Spells like Smite and Banish however won't be affected by Smiter's Boon. Keep that in mind when using this skill.

Works very well in conjunction with divine boon and defenders zeal imo ~ use defenders zeal as your energy management. using smite hex, smite condition and reversal of damage you will be healing for a decent amount as well as dealing reasonable damage. Its not hugely effective but its fun

If you want to run Smiter's Boon in PvP I would recommend
Since almost every Warrior, Assassin, and now Elementalists are running knockdown skills this provides a nice surprise as well as a way to power smiter's boon heals.

May I also suggest Dual Booning. Great fun in PvE, though I am not so sure in PvP.
The generic skill bar consists of [skill]Divine Boon[/skill] and [skill]Smiter's Boon[/skill], along with a bunch of smiting skills that affect allies, such as [skill]Smite Condition[/skill] [skill]Smite Hex[/skill] and [skill]Reversal of Damage[/skill]
I believe the attribute point spread is:
12+1 Divine Favor
12+1+1 Smiting Prayers
Because of the two Boon enchantments, your spells will recover (if my calculations are correct) 138 health at 13 Divine Favor while doing a decent amount of damage, which is excellent for any skill. Most of them are 5 energy too. You just have to watch out for enchant removal.
A good energy management skill would be [skill]Boon Signet[/skill], though, because of the fairly long recharges of the spells, managing energy and weapon swapping should be enough energy management.
It is also important to note that a resurrection skill is important to bring. If you are one of those people who don't bring rez skills on their monks, then it's important to know that the Smite monk is different because the role in the group isn't as pivotal. This is open to opinion, however.
