Illusion Of Leetness [Nerf] is being reformed.
Background:
[Nerf] was originally a tombs guild with a strong core team. Because of this, the transition into GvG was met with profound success, climbing the ladder to the 100s without much trouble. Unfortunately, inactivity hit and core members, the old guild leader being one, were unable to play.
What we are attempting to achieve this time round:
The few members left have decided to get back into GvG (pugging and BYOB in other guilds is depressing) but want to climb the ladder playing builds and strategies similar to guilds such as EvIL and WM- constant splitting to force mistakes and capitalising on them. We believe this is where individual player skill shines through and is a hell of a lot more fun than playing the current meta-type builds. Please note that we only plan on playing (GvG) 3-4 times a week for 1-2 hours a day, maybe less.
What we are looking for in recruits:
- experience
- skill
- thorough understanding of the game, spanning from all professions, skills, builds, maps and strategies pertaining to GvG.
- an ability to read the battle field and call plays.
- strong performances on splits (linking back to individual player skill)
- colourful personalities and good communication skills.
- vent/ts/mic ofc.
- uax (though we're really looking for players who are well past the uax cut-offs: i.e. ~1mil balth is not enough PvP experience)
As for titles:
I do believe that titles =/= skill to some degree but I'll throw this out there: you've got a better chance of getting in if you have a reasonably high Glad or Champ title (Hero is pretty much disregarded) for the simple reason that the Glad title reflects your experience in 4v4 situations and the Champ title obviously reflects your experience in GvG. Past guilds will also be considered.
Classes:
- Monk that isn't just experienced in 8v8 monking.
- Flagger (Flaggers have the best vision of the match and so should be making calls to split or change tactics- please don't apply if you think running flags and healing NPCs is all you're going to do)
- Ranger that can also mesmer/ele. x2
Note: midliners should also be competent on paragon, rt, sin & derv if the build requires it (though we'll most likely be steering clear of such classes).
Mmmmm, I think that's it. PM me here on the forums or in game. Hf
