when i saw the dwaynas hat, i Q_Qed, so does my dog........

Very disappointed in both hats. They definitely butchered Nian's wonderful design.....straight into the garbage bin

I was really hoping the Ice crown was going to be a lot more brighter
bluish glow to it not some dirty dusty lump of coal Ice thingy
Oh well I won't be wearing this in public it can stay with the hat maker. lol

I hate to sound ungrateful, especially during this time of year but these hats are pretty sad. I guess my expectations were too high considering that we got so many good hats last year.

Oh well... bring on the leaf clovers and the chocolate bunnies!

The hats are special alright. Short bus special.

Maybe they should dump the gifts into people's inventories. It's less magical, but it'd also cause less problems. My computer eats GW for breakfast but I was still dragging when I tried to walk by the 9 rings. :P

the damn wig looks horrible, and the wreath is stupid, why did they not stick to the original winning designs???

i personally LOVE the hat
and just like Anet said, it will NOT look like her artwork ingame
its just to bad we can still not have armor on these hats

imo all festivalhats should be craftable with max armor
lets say u show it to festivalhat NPC, and once u reach lvl20 u can craft a max armor that takes runes/insignias , for a reasonable price+mats
that would take away the "oh no low level char gets free max armor"

as for the dwayna hat, yet another dustcollector XD

The wig is the best part about the hat. Again, it mainly effects female characters, but the majority of the hats are unwearable because they cause you to go bald. Even if it's nothing like her normal hair, at least she doesn't look bald!

I had my suspicions about my male mez's sexuality...with the ring 'o' flowers 'round his head, they are not suspicions anymore.

havnt played gw since i went back to school but coming back to this day for hats is just really sad. i agree the ice crown was done nothing short of lazy.

and what is the deal with the wreath birthday cake??? are we trying to burn our heads off while we run around? seriously... i swear anet wants kids to think about wearing candles on their head with a wreath like jesus or something. lol.. wow

i was hoping to at least see the red hat concept (6th place winner) or maybe at least the snow globe??? lol damn i mean come on. you had these awesome ideas u made them the winners and you just pulled one out the ass with too much eggnog in your system and just plain failed on the ice crown...

for shame back to not playing gw for awhile.... play some more mario galaxy i guess

The hats are both very terrible. Freezie Crown from last year was much, much better.

Also, the gods did not even show up at all in many of the Kamadan districts. Apparently due to a bug. Many players who were there at the scheduled time didn't even get their hats since the gods didn't show up in every zone.

I like the wreath; it looks cute on my female ele and will probably look good on my monk and ranger too. But I can understand why others might not be impressed. It just doesn't suit male warriors or necros... or any males really. Except maybe paragons.

The ice crown though... ewwww.

The concept art on all of the hats was better then that! It just looks like they took pre-ascalon Gwen's flower brace and inflated it and retextured.

Well I like both the hats Anet. I guess it's sad day when I am not surprised at such negativity towards a gift, kindly meant (need I add free of charge?) from Anet.

Once again Anet fail on all levels.

They must have rung the cleaner up to do the hats last night right after one of the designers remembered what day it was.

Been standing in Lions Arch (eur, eng dist 12) for over an hour now and still no gods...
Shall we all leave or is the event seriously delayed?
(Dont think the gods have shoved up in district with higher numbers either).
