FoW Quest Log
jezz
The length of time taken to complete all 11 quests in FoW takes quite some time. Usually party members decide to leave soon after unlocking Eternal Forgemaster, which makes it difficult/impossible to complete all quests in FoW in one run.
Suggestion - Please allow completed quests to be recorded in your Log, similar to Sorrows Furnace quests.

The best solution for me regarding this problem was to do FoW with only one or two other people (good friends or guildies, in my case we use Vent) who also need the statue for their HoM, and the rest heroes. I've cleared it out on at least 4 of my characters now doing this. If someone wants a little break for lunch, we agree to break for 15 or 20 minutes. If someone needs to leave suddenly, you still have their heroes. *shrug* Works for me.

Your suggestion would only further cheapen the Eternal Conqueror of the Fissure of Woe monument. The FoW quests can be completed in ~2 hours...though I know some who have done it in little over 1 hour, which is hardly a long time to play for, yet some people lie about their intentions, and it does turn out they only wanted the Forgemaster. When I go, I go with one or two friends and heroes because random players simply are not to be trusted.

This would make it a joke to get the monument, find a group of friends/guildies who will not leave you.

As has been said on these forums many times PuGs suck, just go with a friend and heros.

I never use a PUG on any elite/fow/uw missions. You should learn to do the same.

Well jezz the fact is, that it only takes 1.5-2hrs to clear it on normal mode. And that is actually taking your time a bit. If you are going with friends and such, then it shouldn't be too hard to clear it. Make it clear from the start that you intend to clear it not just get to the forge master. If they cannot commit the time then they can't come. If they are your friends and you guys have fun playing together then it shouldn't be an issue at all.
Sorry, I am not meaning it as teaching, just meer advise so that you can accomplish your goal without cheapening the monument itself.

i do appreciate the advice.
but after 2 failed runs in a row due to leavers there was a lot of time wasted just to start all over again, i thought i would suggest it.

I haven't done this yet, but I can imagine the frustration of someone wanting just the armorer and then leaving. Yes it might be better to get a few friends that you can trust, but there are always technical issues that could happen. And it wouldn't be fair to have all but one quest done to have someone crash or just rage quit.

I agree that PUGs during Elite missions do suck. However... pugs don't always suck... you people are negative!
Plus, how else do you make friends? My top twenty officers are all people I met in PUGs... or someone else met in PUGs...
Sound advice is to do an Elite Mission (UW, FOW, Deep, and Urgoz) with other people you know and trust to remain there. Use vent or TS, because people that use vent and TS are easier to run with than people who only type.
Lastly, PUG your heart away if it works for you. Personally, the very first time I cleared Urgoz... way back when, was with was a PUG.

I agree with the OP. It's very frustrating when your teammates leave especially if you wanted to continue, but breaking up the quests into multiple trips does cheapen the accomplishment.
I've managed to clear FOW twice. Once I went with a friend and we had 6 loyal heroes tagging along. It was a very pleasant way to finish the area. Olias's mom didn't call him to dinner and Dunkoro didn't ragequit halfway thru the mission when Koss went all wammo on us and overaggro'ed.
The 2nd time I was by myself. It was the Wednesday after Christmas and I had the day to myself. My friend popped on for a few minutes to say hi so I asked her to go into FOW with me, drop off her heroes and leave. She loaned me 3 heroes, I took in another 3 and cleared it solo.
Jezz, I don't know your skill level, but if you think that's feasible contact me ingame. I'd be willing to set up my heroes to your specifications (I have most of the common/popular skills unlocked) and go in with you. Depending on my schedule I could stay for a bit or just drop off and leave. It's a nice way even to just get familiar with the fissure. Even if you fail to clear you still learn your way around the area and the heroes aren't callling you a "stupid noob" for triggering the popups and getting Rastigan killed.
