Strategies for vanquishing Kurzick Territory
Adriaanz#Shiro
Hello all.
I created this thread to give make an overall strategy to vanquish
the Kurzick Territory.
Main Problems I and many more people experience :
-Splinter Weapon from some Wardens
-Huge mobbing, patrol routes are very difficult
-Some bosses hit huuuuuuge amounts of damage
i.e. Byzzr Wingmender = 210 per normal strike
i.e. Strongroot Tanglebranch = high attackspeed + damage.
I tried several things like,
Consumables
Shelter
Union
And many more.
If anyone got a good strategy, like hero builds etc.
Please Post them here.

Squishy ftw
-Splinter Weapon from some Wardens
[skill]aegis[/skill][skill]ward against melee[/skill][skill]defensive anthem[/skill] and spread out.
-Huge mobbing, patrol routes are very difficult
Watch the patrols, remember them, and lure.
-Some bosses hit huuuuuuge amounts of damage
[skill]protective spirit[/skill] and again, spread out.
In HM, weakness is very helpfull aswel and so is a nice meatshield(MM).
Just load up on enough passive defence and a high offense.

I found that to be the easiest area of cantha to vanquish really just need 3 key skills:
[skill]protective spirit[/skill]
[skill]broad head arrow[/skill]
[skill]ward of stability[/skill]
and a MM makes it really easy i liked to use a jagged bones minion bomber.

OK I went ele/para with wards and arias and pain inventer... first put pain inventer on the warden of earth and when it's recharged put it on season/summer cuz they get hit by the damage splinter does... I used Sab's build for heroes and henchmen (rit, ele, guardian and healer) - wish they had interrupter
Anyways it's hell! Forest IS way harder then the sea. Good luck there

Yeh, I remember vanquishing that area now. The biggest thing I can think of is Spirit Bond for those bosses, and vs. splinter, spreading out is huge.

Prioritize targets to quickly take down the wardens.
My primary target was the Warden of Summer/Spring (Rit one). He is the healer and the one casting splinter. From there, Warden of Earth to drop their AoE. Then Warden of Spirit (E Surge).
From there, it's easy.
As for the other mobs, make sure to take the Kirins out first (corpse denial). Dredge, get the gardeners.

My ele just finished vanquishing Mourning Veil Falls: didn't have aproblem at all. I took Sabs mm and nec healer with a BHA hero, 2 monk henchies, mesmer hench and mage hench (I believe).
There are a many groups of warden consisting 2 earth eles,1 season, spirit and a couple of melee that could be a problem. What I did was I flagged my heroes apart. I then target warden of season for my ranger (the ranger is too far away so he won't attack the warden of season before you aggro them). I then walk towards the wardens, get aggro and target one of the earth ele. I quickly scan the other ele and put pain inverter on him, as I walk back the flagged heroes. I also brought you move like a dwarf for interrupt/knockdown and meteor shower (this is basically my staple for pve nowadays: pain inverter, you move like a dwarf, vanquard assassin, savannah heat, teinaes heat, glyph of sacrifice, meteor shower and fire attunement. I don't bring rez sig I bring those rez scrolls.)
I used the same set of heroes for Ferndale. I thought Mugri Magicbox would be problem but no challenge at all. Just kill his accompanying gardener first by targetting him with your BHA ranger.
BTW: I didn't even need consumables for these two pplaces (IMO I'd rather save them for other occassions. Candycanes I use freely since I also go for sweet tooth title.)

I've tried to do Morostav Trails like 5 times before I finally beaten it due to warrior boss clumped with multiple wardens (earth, spring, forest types) in a cul-de-sac area.
Be sure to bring Armor of Salvation which does -5 dmg reduction, immune to crit, and +1 hp regen

They aren't too bad, but they are definitely harder then luxon territory. I would almost always end up vanquishing with one of my other warrior friends. I was also a warrior. I would usually take the 3 necro build, and my friend would take 2 monks and something else depending on the area(usually ele or para).
Probably the most annoying area was Arborstone, as it is HUGE and takes forever because its incredibly easy to skip over a group in some little obscure alcove without noticing it. Looking at the enemy mobs, however, its is really a fairly easy area to vanquish.
Probably the hardest areas in the forest are Morostav Trail and Mourning Veil Falls. Morostav has some tough bosses, and Mourning Veil has a bunch of earth eles that can destroy heroes that like to clump together.

Yeah Sab's 3 necros can do pretty well, but they can also all die at once from a splinter weapon hit. BHA can make it a lot easier to deal with the spellcasters.
I was getting bored of vanquishing and came up with this purely so I could do something different.
Tahlkora had this so we had some hex removal.

I took 2 monk hench and 2 warrior hench. It worked really well!!
The most important thing is pulling. ALWAYS flag heroes back and lure a group well away. Pop ups and wandering patrols are bad.
Actually I may have only used 1 monk hench...cant remember now
Obviously I had all the titles high for my bar to work well, but any big damage dealing would work.

Armor of Salvation really does help here. As for everywhere else, finding out what you're fighting, and knowing how to counter it is key. Generally, Blind is king.

You do Know that Stand your ground and Watch yourself do not stack anymore right??? I Personally would change Stand your ground with Defensive Anthem but thats just me.
And i agree with what Squishy ftw said. Running loads of Blocks is win^^

A lot of passive defense and party wide healing works great here.
If you feel the need, look into using consumables.

The thing I loved about that build was they could soak up so much damage and I could just concentrate on doing as much damage as possible, without worrying about flagging so much. The MM in Sab's build has a nasty habit of stopping just outside of aggro, that or on the other side of the coin, the minions would just go on a rampage and blithely aggro 3 or 4 groups!
Also as someone else mentioned it is really important to kill the wardens of spring/summer first since they heal and have splinter.

I did this a few days ago without any consumables - listen to the paragon hint, and you will go a long way without frustration.

Got canthan vanquisher with the 3 necro build, used SY spamming in the harder areas (or guildies )
Wiped once in Morostav with the ele boss that spawns 5-6 ritualists around him.. As for the other bosses, locked the SS spammer onto him, never had a problem Tried 2 monks, 2 ritu henchies as well.. bit overkill on the defense department but it works Just don't accept "duel of the houses"

I took Backbreaker and SY and I rolled trough Arborstone
Gonna try elsewhere later, just notifying you.
