Wintersday hats suck

I hope we get a valentines day event to make up for these crappy looking wintersday hate. What happened a-net had to take Christmas out of the game this year?

Is this a suggestion and if so....might wanna well....suggest something.

The grenth one is dissapointing... I had higher hopes for the one I saw from the winner of that contest. I don't think they did it justice.

Agreed Dwayna one is good Grenth hat I imagined to be a perfect circle crown.

Would have been happier if it was a shining glimmering crown rather than the dirty grey my graphics card displays.

As for Christmas being out of the festival this year, well it was never in.
But I guess the op means the modern Christmas of Santaclaus.

I'm Happy I got 2 hats 40 or so presents loads of candycane, drink fruitcake etc.

I sorta agree with this, but there are limitations. For instance the hair. With most hats they have to remove the hair as with most styles there will be large amounts of clipping through any standardized head gear so they have to put on the white fuzzy thing.

As for the icicles...yeah, that I just don't understand.

I am with Stunt on this, these hats...are very sad to put it nicely.Sure they were free and we don't have to wear them but after THREE years for most people (me included) I am sure they expected a little better quality. Anet held a contest for holiday hats and the winners were really good. I don't understand why they didn't use them? The ice Crown was butchered I believe because in the original user submitted art the Ice Crown for one didn't have any hair, wasn't tilted back and I want to say that is looks like it was ment to glow or be ICICLES not rocks...If your gonna take an idea atleast spice it up or use the original idea period don't make it worse. The little "wreath" as everyone is calling it....I don't know where that came from.I would have rather had the same hats from last year or the 1st year. Well after being a loyal fan of GW after 3 years and even getting an account banned and still playing, I am very dissapointed.

Grenth hat looks nothing like it does on that drawing that won the contest, i'm dissappointed by it but I still like it to some extent. The IG one needs to be brighter and more like a traditional crown

You will just have to look forward to canthan new year and the hat you get then, QQing will solve nothing so don't bother. Why would anet suddenly implement a shitty valentines day event just because you don't like the hats, valentines day is not even a real holiday anyway imo.

Seriously, Riverside is the place to discuss "topics of the day". There is no real suggestion here, let's be honest, and the OP is just stating the obvious. As I recall the Canthan New Year took place over Valentine's Day last year so...I guess we'll just wait and see what happens.
