I've been trolling through the forums looking for a do able H&H HM dungeon completion build when running a necro and haven't come up with anything. I looked at Sabs triple necro and while it looks good I don't think it will work in most dungeons, unless I'm missing a viable necro tank build somewhere.
I started wordering if it was possible to make a hero use OB Tank effectively. After playing the build I know that its possible to micro manage a hero to play the build correctly. The main problem with heros is that they attack everything and won't stand still. How do you make this stop and get the hero to stay still? You remove the weapon and put the hero on agressive. After doing a little bit of testing it seems to work; not as well as human character due to aggro breaking. The reason it works is because the hero can't do anything because all its skill are disabled and it dosen't have a weapon which prevents it from attacking. With a little bit of gaile and fancy positioning of your hero tank, I'm sure its possible to do this well.
Thoughts?
OB Tank Hero?

Pretty much impossible, heroes will move around (moving loses aggro). So basically your kind of screwed. You have to be the tank yourself, or get a friend to help.

I think there was a thread similar to this in the past. It was said there that it's almost impossible due to aggro breaking.
Also, too much micromanaging is somewhat bad, imo.

Squishy ftw
If I just think of Koss, the fool that spends more time running than fighting, I would say no, this won't work.
But you do not need a tank to do HM dungeons, not at all. Sab's necros and hench should be just fine for a lot of the dungeonsK.

But since EoTN is harder than most of GW I'm having trouble with area's that make me go SS, cuz Devona is a bad tank.
Now the solution is probably to get me and all my heroes runes of superior vigor and some survivor insignias.
But right now I'm too broke to even pay attention, my monk rit and sin don't even have any armor.
I do have some Balth faction that I can spend on unlocking skills for my heroes.
Now I did some testing and I found a way to make heroes tank.
Shadow Step + [skill=text]Dolyak Signet[/skill]
They pop into a mob instantly(from outside of the aggro circle), making them the likely aggro target, and you glue them down with the slowdown from dolyak.
A hybrid monk and a healing necro fill my other slots.
Right now I have Nora using [skill=text]Shadow Walk[/skill] and [skill=text]Augury of Death[/skill] to get around and [skill=text]Dash[/skill] with a big red restricted sign over it, as a chancel stance.
(I cancel her shadow walk whenever I want her to come and defend the back line if stuff did gets distracted, which happens a lot with Krait that redetermine aggro every time they shape shift)
Now I want to ask what is a good elite for a strength based hero tank, because I have none unlocked that fit her(Have her using [skill=text]Assassin's Promise[/skill] right now to recharge [skill=text]Dolyak Signet[/skill] before it ends)
I though I might unlock [skill=text]Skull Crack[/skill] to use with [skill=text]"For great justice!"[/skill]
Adding some utility to it; as she replaces my normal interupter hero that I put in that slot when I MM.
/end rant
What is a good elite and additional skills for a strength tank that can't use stances?
here's the build:
Sword 10 + 1 + 1
Strength 11 + 1
Deadly 10
Tactics 1 + 1
[skill]Dash[/skill] disabled
[skill]Shadow Walk[/skill]
[skill]Augury of Death[/skill] a warrior without deep wound should jump off a building?
[skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill]
[skill]Standing Slash[/skill]
Optional(currently = [skill=text]Iron Palm[/skill] but it's slow without promise, so then I use [skill=text]Lion's Comfort[/skill])
Optional(currently = [skill=text]Assassin's Promise[/skill])
Optional(currently = [skill=text]Resurrection Signet[/skill])
Please help me improve this.
