The Guilds of LaZy Nation [LaZy] announce their adoption and support of "Make-A-Wish Foundation", a global charity which supports making wishes come true for terminally ill children around the world.
"[LaZy] is committed to making a difference in the Guild Wars Community though our actions in the gaming community. The guild's leaderhsip and members have elected to continue this effort by adopting a charity that can make a difference for children in the world who are less fortunate and fighting life-threatening conditions. All of us are fortunate to have the opportunity to play computer games and come together in a virtual environment to have fun and enjoy ourselves. What better opportunity than to rally our members and combine our resources in order to give something to children who do not share that same opportunity. Given the opportunity to do something (vs. nothing) we have come together to make a difference in the life of at least one child who's wish we can help make come true."
Since adopting the charity on December 1, 2007, the members of [LaZy] have collected over $2,700 in donations for the "Make-A-Wish Foundation". Due to the members overwhelming support for this cause, the guild's leadership has extended their collection effort through January 31, 2008. [LaZy] will present the total donation collected to the International Chapter of "Make-A-Wish Foundation" in February, 2008 on behalf of the global Guild Wars gaming community.
The Guilds of LaZy Nation [LaZy] are a group of 11 guilds and 1,000 members united under one cape and banner. More information about [LaZy] can be found at http://www.lazyimperium.com.
