Ritu build for the Glacial griffon?

hey
i need some help with the glacial griffon from the quest "Cold as Ice"
i tried spiritspamming him but doesn't work too well since he makes his own spirits and takes cover behind them
i could use some help ty

Pull him into your spirits. It takes awhile but he will follow you. I slowly pulled him into a clump of spirits then hexed him to slow him down. Also the hex that causes spirits to do more dmg helps (can't think of the name)

i did use the painfull bond skill
maybe i could try to cripple him with you move like a dwarf or some good ele skill to slow him down

Ice prison with a couple points and 8 sec or so of slowness

My minion bomber pwned the bird. Jagged Bones, Putrid Bile, Necrosis.

since my other build didn't work i'll try jagged bones with the putrid bile stuff
good thing there's a jagged bones boss near sifhalla

edit: i got him
i surrounded him and had rising bile, rotting flesh with bone minions with jagged bones and death nova surrounding him so he couldn't make his spirits

I went with rit/r. I used pain, bloodsong, vamp, agony, anguish. painfold bond, flame trap and signet of capture. When you first arrive cast 3 flame traps and all your spirits, draw with painful bond. This should take him down to about half. Your only defense is flame trap, when he springs it, he will retreat. So you have to retreat and build more flame trap/spirit 'bunkers' keeping out of range of his spirits. Dont give him a chance to regen and draw with painful.

I also tried to spirit-spam him to death, but somehow neglected the Flame Trap, and went with Mes secondary for the Arcane/Echo. Still died. Ah, well. Good to hear that the Jagged Bomber works just fine for someone else. ^_^

i tried using the spirit spammer build, but got owned too many times.

try harder, make sure you are out of out of his spirit range and lure him.
not that hard

I have a Rit/Ranger build and it took me a while to get him down.. The Spirit Spammer build just didn't do it for me.. what it took was a combination of Spirits, Gaze of Fury, and Poison Signet...

Lay down a spirit, use poison signet to pull and when he comes at you and lays down his first spirit, cast Gaze of Fury enclosing him between the spirits. Keep poison on him all the time (he doesn't heal himself) so he doesn't regen.

Gaze of Fury also did a good job of causing his spirits to attack the Fury, instead of you.

I think the real key is to have constant degen on him and then kite. However you do it, don't give him time to regen.

this worked for me

1) Pain
2) Bloodsong
3) Anguish
4) Vampirism
5) Painful Bond
6) Consume Soul (E)
7) Boon of Creation
8) Summon Spirits

create spirits, summon them in aggro with summon spirits, cast painful bond on him while going around destroying his spirits (whiling healing urself) with consume soul. If he runs out of spirit aggro just go near him and summon your spirits to his position again

*Edit* Yes gaze of fury is also nice, you could replace boon of creation in my build with that skill if you want. Spirit Massacre ftw
