I'm wondering if Lockpicks can be farmed at a particular location, or they are completely random drops in HM zones... I rather spend time farming lockpicks then buying them

They are random drops from everything in HM. Much like event items, you should farm quantity instead of quality if you want lockpicks. This makes the Raptor farm (outside Rata Sum) ideal.

Agreed. Lockpicks also drop in NM in GW:EN....or was that just the triple drop weekend?!? I picked up dozens farming the nestlings in NM.

I picked up quite a lot from the Snow Wurms outside Boreal Station. Maybe it's just my luck, but I managed to get more Lockpick drops than Locked Chest spawns.

The best Pick farm I've done is getting in on Cathedral of Flames HM 600/Smite runs. You pay tips-3k for the run and get a ton of extra stuff like golds, possible greens and plenty of glue as drops....
I see the lockpicks coming from Hidden Treasures, and I usually hit 1-3 Lockpicks if the runner does ALL the L2, L3 Hiddens. I've seen Rubies drop from hiddens, and gotten a couple, and have also see, but no screenie, a Ruby Dijin Polymock piece from the end chest. Its a decent farm, takes about an hour for the run, but u can be away for a minute here, minute there no big deal, work a drunkard title, as well as farm dwarven Rep pts

lockpicks have the same %-chance from every hm mob.
So try to kill as many enemys in the least amount of time.
Mo/D Hydra farming outside augury is a good choice...

You dont only get Lockpicks from HM Areas, I've seen a lot of them drop in the Charr Homelands. Ithink they do drop in all the high-end arenas...

Factions: Kaineng City and so on
Nightfall: idk dont have it...
GW:EN: Everywhere

well they do drop in nm gwen, because gwen has the hard mode chests

I was doing the quest to get to GWEN on my ele through Kamadan. A level 7 Corsair in the cave dropped me one.

I have a super secret build I run to farm lockpicks. I think people are starting to figure it out, so I might as well let it loose so I can take all the credit.
1. Make a lot of money relatively quickly, using your regular farming spot of choice.
2. Go to Kamadan or LA and look for the people selling picks for 1.25k
3. Buy them and repeat.

There is no specific place to farm lockpicks. They drop randomly from Hard mode areas.
Quantity over quality usually gets the best results if your farming for lockpicks.
