New sort of Skills
fir
In guild wars we have weapon spells but why arn't there schield/offhand spells such like these::
Target other ally gains +10..25 armor for 4...12 sec ( why target other ally :::solo farming ftl )
target other ally gains +10 engr for 3 sec or engry regen
50 % block change
you can think of 1000 skills xD
I want to have your oppnion about such like new skills

Id like it =), But...Would be a bit overpowered if you compined with a weapon skill plus a few enchantments =s.
Vengeful weapon + (say a) Vengeful Sheild = ALOT of HP stolen
Vengeful weapon + (say a) Vengeful Sheild = ALOT of HP stolen
fir
well you could say when you have weapon and shield speel on you all enchantments will be removed
grabus
Ya
But some of the weapon spells would be nerfed to make sure they not too overpowered while used with a shield
So you could keep enchants, but would be overpowered if sheild and weapon used imo

Weapon spells stacking with offhand spells would be overpowered. Besides, weapon spells already give both offensive/defensive buffs, so there would really be no point in adding offhand spells.

GW needs Combo Attacks Skills .. Fusion Spell Skills and Dual Weapon Skills
but wait, that would require to implement more professions ..oh noooooez >.>
But GW could have also new Skill types, like
Auras, permanental hexes, like permanental enchants exists for -1 energy reg,
Rune Magic, so Rune Spells, Dances, Songs, barriers (skills like Ice fort) which protect you at certain spots as long u are in the spots,
Formation Skills (like stances..but with party effect)
that would be Skill Types..that could be introduce too to GW2 in future

You know phoenix, I've seen most if not all of those ideas in the games I've played a lot (gw, dungeon lords, oblivion, NwN, NwN2, Diablo, Diablo2 + expansion, etc) and permanent hexes would be a ridiculous idea.
On topic with shield spells I think it'd be a cool idea to implement them but I don't think arenanet would really be able to do it without making another class for gw1. And since they will probably be finished with gw2 next month and won't release it until july or september then they'll be too busy sipping tea to actually add anything into the current game. (I'm not picking on arenanet really in this joke I'm just picking on the makers of the Lord of the Rings :P)
*forks gw2 into shape*

Or Weapon of Warding.
Seriously, everything that could be handled by a "shield spell" or "offhand spell" is already handled by weapon spells.

You have absosultely no clue..what i talk about..but oh ya..you know naturally everything ..you are god..you know what is balanced and what not lol
Also you seem to be blind ..this topic here goes only about new Skill Types ...
and listed only some possibilities of Skill Types that could be implemented..btw are missing.
When you don't get it, about what people are talking..then shut up.
I've absosolute not described.. how those skill types should work so don't whine about imbalance.. when there is absolutely nothing to whine about nor to "critizise" at all..also my post was thought for GW2 you fool, not for GW1 and you really surely don't believe..that GW2 will be just a copy of GW1 in kind of balance >.>
so really.. be quite when you don't know about what you or others are talking

Be quite what? =/
But honestly, I think that there are easily enough skill types around already. Each new skill type would need to be balanced, and rebalanced, nerfed, buffed etc. Do you really think Anet has time to do all of this, AND make GW2 as fun as possible?

I use a Ritualist as my primary profession, but to avoid it being too powerful, make it only have one spell on it at a time.
Like vengeful weapon only or vengeful sheild only.
But overall its a redundant idea, like this [skill]weapon of warding[/skill] is defensive.
