Can't find apology

Gaile said the developer responsible for the polar bear fiasco wrote a very nice apology. Anyone know where this is posted at? I did not find it at guildwars.com and don't see it on these boards. Did they just hide it away? Anyone have a link? I want to read it because I think we all deserve it.

Screw the polar bears. Their natural habitat is gone soon anyway.

Also just to add: The apology was from the designer to Gaile not the community. Since everyone is now blaming her for it the person who added it no doubt felt bad. IMO this could of all been avoided if they had encryted the DAT to stop people from seeing the mini weeks before Wintersday.

The apology letter is in the Chest of Wintersday Whines, which only shows up in the last two days of a festival, and has a .001% chance to drop. Unlike the 99.999% drop rate of failing humanity.

in the gaile appology. (tho i agree with some. it wasnt her fault so she need not appologies) she compairs the polar bear to other mini's that were never announced. ghostly hero and mini mallyx. both pets which have an unlimited time to get even tho a very small chance of getting.
so to make the comparison valid the polar bear must have a unlimited time to get. meby they will add the polar bear to the winters day past chest as a very rare drop. 2007 will be a wintersday past soon enough after all

Maybe for some of you, the english language isn't your primary one but to help clear things up, she does not apologize for not announcing the mini-pet. She is apologizing for the confusion caused for stating the truth which was: she was not aware of the polar bear being offered in the chest and stated so. Later, she found out this was not the case and thus she had to tell everyone that the polar bear was indeed real. She (nor any of the community correspondents) was not informed of the fact that it was added so she couldn't have told us even if she wanted to.

She then justifies it by saying that other minis were also not announced. I'd argue that she isn't trying to justify it but merely pointing out a correlating fact but if this makes your blood boil, that's your problem. There is no indication that the polar bear was limited to just this Wintersday. They could be using it for other events or other things and they probably will. There's very little point in putting in effort to make a mini only to not use it for something. It is a gold however so it's supposed to be rare.

"No more minipets as we don't care for them," says the masses only to have them scream in outrage later. The "community" can be so uptight sometimes that it's no wonder that many companies just outright ignore them. How many times have people proclaimed the end of Guild Wars in 2007 and found themselves wrong? Previously PvE only armor now available for PvP? LOL OMFG ANET U SCREWED UP THE ECONOMY GG. Someone should make a long post titled "2007 in review."
