In AB, do shouts affect only your direct team, or all allies?

Im a paragon main and just recently got factions, and I'm noting that I'm only getting Energy from shouts (due to leadership) from direct team members, and not all allies. Though I need to do some more testing to confirm this, I need to know if my shouts affect other allied teams at all. Is it just that I don't get energy for them bieng affected, but they ARE still affected?

Depends on the shout/chant/whatever. Many of the shouts have been nerfed to only affect your direct team since Nightfall has been released. You'll have to dig through release notes or so.

Aria of Zeal compared to Anthem of Guidance
The description of the first states allies, which is everyone with a green colour towards you.
The second states 'Party Members', which would mean the other 3 people in your party in AB.
So it depends on which skills you choose :P

if the shout says it affects all allies, it will affect them. If the shout says it will affect all party members it will only affect those in your party list which in AB is 3 other people. There are a few shouts that are mislabeled and affect all allies when it said party members only and vice versa, if you want to check looking at the energy gain from leadership is always a sure fire way to see if its working.

Check the descriptions of your shouts - a lot of shouts only affect Party Members (the 4 people in your team) as opposed to Allies (everyone on your side).
A lot of the command shouts - [skill]"go for the eyes!"[/skill] and [skill]"fall back!"[/skill] - are powerful because they effect all allies in a skirmish.

A net sure went through a lot of pain to nerf the paragon in AB too...ty all, lol i have to dig through all the skills i unlocked and check which ones are "allies" now,
ah well we still have warrior like physical DPS at range (lols at ranger).

Wasn't aware of the 2 different phrasings on shouts :| I'll have to keep that in mind.
