hero handbook-beware

i have done gwen and now i just join random parties there for fun, my question is, to fill up again hero handbooks need to take again the quests from NPC or from scrying poll, or is enough just to join a party and if the party complete the mission the book is filled up? (i have 2 books to be sure if one mission is done this is added to the other book)

i believe you have to take the quest/mission again from the NPC or HoM

I farmed normal and hard mode books to rank up in each of the rep lines. I never had to take any quest execpt for the first time. But you must activate it by talking to whomever has it. Just make sure you have the book in your inventory when doing it. So for doing Golem just talk to the guy to start the mission. Or against the char talk to the helmet. Or assault on the strong hold go out into Dalada Uplands and talk to Roan Fierceheart. No quest ever was needed for any of them. You get whatever you need "quest", when you talk to said person.

I just read on GWiki that if you have more than one Hero's Handbook in your inventory and complete one of the quests, it will only apply that to the first book in your inventory. If that quest was already complete in the first book then you don't get credit for it. You have to swap the books around to get credit.

You can pay 100g and get credit for it if you didn't at any of the book npcs.

I was the one that first pointed that out- and learned the hard way after finishing 3 quests the second time that none of them had counted <_< yeah I was rather annoyed.

I dont know what Proff mean with the credit... u think i dont know where to buy a book or what?

And the thing with "first book in your inventory" but lol that mean to be in left or above the other book to be first book?

He means that you can buy the page in your book if you've already completed it.

However, I did that once, and now I can't seem to get them to let me do it anymore.

I was able to do that once on my 2 characters that turned in the books before it was trade able for 20k rep.

If you don't have the book when you complete it, that's when you are able to fill in the pages for 100g/quest or dungeon.
