Hello,
I've been around since March of last year but there are still a lot of things I haven't quite learned or figured out with the game yet, one being which stats are generally not used and which are coveted.
For example, the other day some gold daggers dropped for me 15-28 dmg, req 8 daggers, 20% armor penetration, +15 health (can't remember) and +7 armor vs. elemental damage. May have been another stat on there just can't remember exactly. I have no use for this but would like to sell it...however I don't know that it is really all that valuable. Some of the stats seem decent for a melee class, but I don't really play melee, especially Assassins so I'm not sure what they are looking for.
I also hear the term "max dmg" with low req a lot...which I've figured means maximum damage output with a low attribute requirement to use them, thus allowing you to spend your points more loosely in other attributes. What I don't know is what is max damage considered?
Does anyone have any input on what items I should consider as having good stats to not vendor off and try to sell to players? Like these Daggers, worth selling to someone or just vendoring them off?

You should look in the price check forum.
In general, a req 8 item with max damage is worth some money - how much depends on how rare the skin is. I personally don't have the patience to sell things most of the time, and just merch them, but I'm sure I lose a lot of money because of that.

I would double check your stats and ask for a price check here:

Thanks everyone! I was writing that from memory so the damage value is most likely what you are all saying.

No problem... do you know what kind of daggers they are? Skin-wise?
Req8 gold dagger are expensive. I would like to know. I may make an offer on them.

Value-wise:
Requirements less than 9 are very rare. Less than max damage is worthless. The lower the requirement, the better. The rarer the skin, the better - go to the price check forums.
