There are three different Highlander Blades:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Highlander_Blade
Highlander Blade (straight guard, shortest
Highlander Blade (downward guard, medium)
Greater Highlander Blade (the longest)
OK, this is not really a big issue.
Still, all other EOTN swords/axes follow this convention
Lesser XXX
XXX
Greater XXX
Examples:
Lesser Dark Scimitar, Dark Scimitar, Greater Dark Scimitar
Lesser Sage Blade, ...
Lesser Jagged Reaver, Jagged Reaver, Greater Jagged Reaver
There is no need for two different swords of the same "series" to share the same name. We already have enough confusion with Sickles and Cleavers.
Solution:
Rename to "Lesser Highlander Blade". If ANet thinks it would be funny, Lowlander Blade.

I'm surprised they can swing a claymore with only one arm. And the fact that it's slashing damage when claymores were never sharpened and only used as a blunt, downward swing. It was meant to send a blunt force to shatter bones rather than tear flesh.
But apart from even further historical inaccuracies, which I probably spelt wrong, then yes. They need to name the smaller one "lesser".
