For the heroes of Eye of the North, you already unlock 2 by doing the quest that brings you to the start of the Eye of the North campaign. Ogden Stonehealer a monk and Vekk and elementalist. Then if you continue you will very soon unlock Gwen, a mesmer hero.

Don't have Nightfall but I believe you can also unlock some soon

Once you have Nightfall you can unlock heroes that are located in Tyria and Cantha.
