It's the holy damage.

For the record, a different avatar and a holy damage skill is usually better against undead than Avatar of Balthazar. You may not have Aura of Holy Might if you haven't been playing a lot of ABs or grinding Kurzick/Luxon faction, but you could try Heart of Holy Flame and Avatar of Lyssa - damage should be quite huge.
