People that are trying to max the lucky and unlucky title towards there Rank 6 kind of a big Deal prob feel the same way when this event will come round next month, that we all get like 4 days to try and get as many lucky and unlucky points as we can. There could be a option if Anet allows the event to conitunue for an extra week it would allow people that are trying to max the two title to work on them.
Plz post if you feel the same way.

opening chests is a faster way to max those 2 titles anyway... ye u have to play and cannot afk, but u don't trash money either

Canthan New Year does not have 9 rings, last year it was a guy shotting a pig inot a bucket of water. I think we need to pressure anet into including boardwalk games first b4 increasing the length of the event.

that game is for wealth/rich people only and those with lots of time or who do not share computers.
i do not have 100k+ to drop on tickets.
i do not have the ability to afk while my character plays the rings.
i do not have the time to spend 8+ hours standing in the same spot for a title.
so this event is pretty lame and one i can afford to miss.

Last year, if I remember correctly, there were two seperate events that opened 9 rings. If we're saying this WASN'T the New Year, then these were Dragon Festival + what? And don't answer Dragon Festival + DF Redux.
I am 90% sure that I got up to Lucky (1) on the first event, (2) on the Dragon Festival, and (3) on the redux.

Actually I have just checked - I think it was the 2nd birthday celebration where I started. So looks like we are waiting until end of April to get back into the Boardwalk.
Surely no-one has maxed this title? It's not possible that anyone has spent 724 hours AFK on Nine-Rings as 9R hasn't been open for that long. And that's the quickest way of doing it. Chest-running with Lockpicks up to 2.5m tickets is just beyond insane.

any suggestions of where to run HM chest aco, i mean Drops. I remember you mentioning Boreal stations, but after goin through 50+ chests i didn't get a single tome. Do i have the RL cursed by fate title or something.

My cursed by fate, is despite my haveing 58% chance in NM and 28% in HM my actual retain percentage is nowhere near those figures. So I'd love a 9 rings extension.

Easy way I found to get Lucky points is to run chests in Normal Mode in the beginning regions. Shing Jea, Istan, Ascalon region all give a huge bonus to retain %. Even though you won't be getting items worth using, you may get some mods, and you should break very few lockpicks.

Whatever time ANet gives us for the festival is all the time you should get to go AFK on rings to get such a worthless title.

9 Rings should be open permanently. Period. Trying to get those points by opening treasure chests which only increase the title by an infinitesimal amount is ludicrous.
I know the official line on making them permanent would be "that would make them un-event like" - but who cares. The events are already "un-event" like by way of being repeated in the same exact (or near same exact) way every time anyways. Everyone's already seen all that the 9 Rings has to offer; it's an old game and therefore there is no reason to get "excited" when it comes around again. Opening it permanently isn't going to lessen anyone's excitement about 9 Rings either so making it "un-event like" doesn't matter.

Id like an extension, by allowing nine rings I can play without playing for once! I do enjoy playing guild wars but sometimes you just forget to take breaks and you over do it. Playing nine rings means I can get my titles up while on the rings being afk so it lets me get to the more important things like work and school =D
