Chances of getting a green drop?

I'm trying to get Hajkor, Mystic Flame's unique wand but he never drops it. I've gone out and killed him atleast 30 times in HM but the only thing he ever drops is piles of glittering dusts or just 100 gp. So to my question, what are the chances of getting him to drop it and is there a way to increase my chances?

With henchies or solo?

random, I remember farming for greens for my heroes and at time I would get one in 5 run and at times it took over 30 run..

Yah its really hard to tell though soloing the boss will give you better chances of it dropping.

best thing you do is not think about it...

im using heroes and hench. could that be why? Maybe since I attack the group in with the siege worm I can just go with 3 heroes rather than with all the hench also.

Edit: Also! I won't be discouraged! I just try again later, I got bored of doing it over, and over, and over, and over again. lol

yes use as few party memebers as possible

i have done runs in sets of 100. i use full groups, heroes and henchies.
i get the boss to about 30% life then flag away and hope for the best.

i normally get 1 green every 100 runs, but i have had dry runs of over 200 times with no green. i have also managed to get a green within the first 5 runs and sometimes even on the first run through.

now i just buy my greens. 10k-20k is alot easier to get than a green. so i can buy a green in 1-2 hours of farming for gold. the drop rate of uniques sucks bad but if you have nothing else to do, its a great time killer. plus the more runs you do the more stuff you get.

farming exuros flame staff (forgot spelling) 400 times got me 120k total from selling golds and all other drops, i also got 7 of the wands off 400 runs.

i use scratch paper and make bubble circles, then everytime i complete a run i make an X through one. so i know how many i'v done.

in the 23 months of playing gw i have farmed about 30 greens total. i have also noticed that Wing's Axe drops often, i get 1 wings axe every 10-20 runs using the flag trick. ultimately its better to buy the greens you want if you can afford it. but thats just my personal opinion. I'm a warrior/all so i can't farm all the areas. well i can farm everything except elite areas, i consider fow/uw elite.

Of the bosses I solo farmed for the green item they drop I never had the item drop in hard mode.

In ordinary mode I got drops around 1 in 6 when a special weekend was in effect, to about 1 in 15 on a normal day.

I became convinced that some bosses dropped much more frequently than others but without knowing all the parameters its hard to prove.

In general, during my boss killing spree required for the skill hunter title tracks, I only got 3 random greens (the scar eater, alsin's walking stick and modti's depravation). That's 3 out of about 280.

Although, yesterday someone wanted a green aegis, the one dropped from the warrior boss just outside of Levithian Pits (the diamond aegis skinned one dyed white). I went with a full hench party in NM and he dropped it on the second run. Just luck though, I wasn't doing any farming of any sort.

some bosses just dont seem to want to give up their nice shiney green weapon (I have been trying with different characters with and without the h/h and I cant seem to get the mindclouder to drop), while other bosses seem to want to give away theirs --have a few stonereapers and darkwishes and wasnt even farming for them! So I dont even try any more....and since gwen came out I have only gotten 1 green not from a dungeon chest and that was last night. (its a curses staff and I am keeping it!)

One simple way to get it is to just buy it from someone. Use the time you would have spent trying to farm the green, to farm ectos, or destroyer cores, or glacial stones or whatever, that you can easily sell.
I know that may not be as interesting as actually getting the green to drop.

Maybe it was just the greens I was going after, but I found when I solo'ed them, my chances on the green was about 1 in 5.
