the only bug that I ever wanted fixed is the one that makes my toon spin in circles when farming or running. it hasn't happened for a bit, but when it does, it is rather annoying. anyone know what I mean?

as far as a reward...meh, I have all I could want, and I have no room for anything else.

LMAO, mods close this thread already please its retarded.

Anyways from my point of view ask yourself Do we ever reward them for free content, no monthly fee and weekly events? NO we don't so please think more before making a thread like this.

And why should we? Do you think they did all those stuff out of goodwill? That we should all worship them for being so generous?

Please.

I dare all of you to try and piss them off so much so they'd want to stop doing all those stuff. I doubt you can, no matter how hard you try.

Why? Because without those stuff, this game, and this community, will reach the state it deserves faster than Gaile's response to a mini pet thread: DEAD.

You can bet your *** they don't want that.

Now if you test an exploit and report all the details to Anet you get awarded a BAN (and need long appealing process to get out of it).

I'm totally for rewarding those who find and report critical vulnerabilities or possible major exploits. No regular bugs, only stuff thats so severe it can get people banned for using it. And reporting only through the usual plaync support tickets, no easy /bug command that noobs would use to spam their cry about getting scammed or their newfound exploit of ferrying people into docks...

Gold-selling companies would pay a lot of money for access to this critical bugs, money they could recoup by farming it (their bots can be banned without a 105-pages long thread on GWG!) and selling gold. Anet can't compete with greedy spammers who have real money (not so much in GW, but it could change if the "white hat hackers" were to become "black hat hackers", i.e. no longer aim for the prestige of their job but for the monetary benefit).

This idea may seem good at first, but it's totally irrealistic due to the aspect I present above. A minority of greedy people can very quickly ruin a very good idea.

/bows to white-hat/ethical hackers, the digital explorers of the MMO world.

If we give them the rewards that they deserve (while making sure that their ego does not take the best of them), we can make sure that hacking is on the right side of the fence. These guys, when reporting a hack/bug and making sure that it is not exploited, are doing a good action, exactly like when someone helps an elder in the street or a needy person. If we create the context for them to enjoy this job, it can work. But careful not to do too much, or ego can be the other side of the coin.

We havent had a decent skill update in months. They lost control of titles ages ago. AB has never been right. The gvg system is so flawed the same people are rewarded time after time. The list goes on & on and you want a Title for reporting bugs? lol Next they should give a title for /reports & the # of people youve had banned. If nothing else... threads like this are a great example of why there should be no titles in an online game. Take the time to recognize obsessive compulsive disorder for what it is... an illness. Design your games responsibly and not rife with features that are a major contributor to this illness amongst your constituency.

You're confusing 2 aspects of the game:

1) GW as a software, it has bugs and they need to be found; this is the point this thread was tryint to make; it is healthy to discuss these issues, though it's quite pointless on a fanforum, even read by devs, because I believe that the devs know their job (but GW's business model and the whole approach of MMOs makes it a bit specific and more complicated);

2) GW as a game, it has rules and practice, they are sometimes inappropriate (of course, everyone has its point of view, depending on its gameplay; e.g. to me AB looks fine because it's fun and I'm not playing it too much); this has rarely anything to do with the way the rules are implemented (in software).

Yes OCD is a disease and MMO can express this, or make it worse. Please open a new thread on the topic .

They need to make a game that recognizes when an exploit is found and fixes it on it's own!
*twilight zone music*
That way nothing gets through more than once.
I suggest they use my super computer SkyNet to do it.
It's very cool and can do that.
Nothing bad will come of it.
It's all good.
Do eet.

lol Im not confusing anything, I stated What I wanted to state, Where I wanted to state it & at a Time of my choosing. The only one confused here is you... trying to crowbar my statements to fit your agenda. GL with that.

With the recent banning of the '117' I have come to think that maybe just maybe if arenanet had a better bug reporting system this would of been discovered sooner and maybe less bans would of been given out.

Im suggesting all people who report bugs should be put into a monthly draw or something along these lines. The prizes could be reward points or maybe a mini code. This will give incentive for people to report the bugs more often.

Post your Thaughts..
Here's your reward. You used a bug. You reported it. We won't ban you.

How does that sound?
