Hellow people!

Last week I reinstalled Guildwars and I am quite hooked up again.
Now the last week I have tried several classes and restarted several times.

The time has come to make a decision and stick with 1 class.
I am thinking of a a/w (starting in factions) or r/p (starting in nightfall).
My idea would be playing mostly with heroes and henchies but a PUG party so now and then would be fun.
Also factor in some PVP sometimes.

What would be working best for me?

Thanks for help!

well assassins are hard to play....unless you have the time, knowledge, and desire to really learn how to play one i don't suggest it. Ranger/Pargon sounds pretty decent tho. after all you can always change secondary profession later in the game. Best answer is to pick what you want to play.

I'd go with the ranger because they're a more solid profession in PvE. While Assassins can work, the Ranger's high survivability and versatility might be more fun to play around with.

If you will be spending a lot of time with herohench and basing your choice of profession on that, then why not choose a profession that the AI struggles to play correctly? It doesn't matter until the going gets tough but when it matters it really matters.

Professions for which taking the respective herohench is a huge liability: A, D and W. Aggro control, we has it. Not.

General usefulness of the abovementioned professions for the party (IMHO): W > A, D. There's always room for a W who knows his stuff. A and D are more case specific although you'll probably manage with those, too.

Really? I reguarly use my Derv and Warrior heroes, so I don't know what you're talking about. Assassins I'll give you though, heroes are incapable at playing them.

I say go for the Ranger/Paragon. More versatile, and if you get farther in and start desiring higher cost items, or elite armour, rangers have more farming options then assassins.

Did you try the 4 godly PvE classes before narrowing it down to these two?
Paragons, Warriors, Necros and Monks?

Alright, thanks for the replies.

I decided to create an R/P, assassin still looks fun, but a bit squashy
Again thanks for the replies.
