Dying Tormented weapons

Refer to title. It's kind of boring/repetitive seeing everyone with the same purple gear. I think being able to dye them would be cool.

Opinions, etc.

so instead of how they are you'd see everyone with black dyed tormented weapons?

Lots of games seem to be avoiding dye-ing these days.

Likely the dye isn't included so that the animation effect works properly. Likely the weapons weren't skinned in a way that could implement dye easily.

Doesn't matter if everyone uses black dye... they already use it on Chaos Axes and Chaos Gloves; their loss, those of us who like to choose an appearance we like rather than the most expensive appearance will look better than them.

While the texmod solution is nice, only you can see it, and everything is still going to be in the same color.

I don't see a problem, though I'm not rich enough to afford Black Dye, much less Tormented Weapons, I don't see why you can't dye them.

Hey, they are hard to get. People should be able to use a yellow dye to make the 'energy' part of the shields match a Kurcick armor dyed yellow.


In fact, only gold weapons should be dyable, and ALL gold weapons should be dyable.

That would give them a bit of more value they deserve:
- Common (blue-white): Always gray. Not dyable.
- Uncommon (purple): Always base color (not dyed). Not dyable.
- Rare (gold): Acquired with gray color, but dyable.
- Unique (green): Always own color (dyed). Not dyable.
