Banned: Wanting to start over, can I?
Shai Lee
The point though is that he wants to play with Guild Wars -permission-. He doesn't want to have to alter anything to get around the EULA or have to hide everyday of his GW existence just to continue to play. He wants to play again with his friends and doesn't mind starting anew. If you're wanting to do that, you don't want to have to worry about someone who meets you in game, to find out who you are or to copy/paste conversations and send them to Anet support saying stuff like, "Hey, this is one of the guys that was banned and is sneaking his way back into GW." Some people just want that kind of peace of mind, I would, anyway. I wouldn't have to worry every time I log in if I've been found out and my time and money get wasted -again-.

That doesn't mean u get the same ip address the next day or the following. |
DHCP Lease Renewal/Rebinding
Even with a complete power cycle, however, it's unlikely you'll get a new IP because most ISPs now bind an IP to a MAC address and try to resist changing that IP as much as possible so as not to complicate logs and routing.

IP address alone cannot trace an individual user and should not (and probably dont) get used as such. |
For example, Slashdot used to have a real problem with that back when most people were still using dial-up. You'd go to post a comment or visit the site and get pink-page-of-deathed (the PPOD is the ultimate ban Slashdot hands out) because somebody had previously used the IP you're now on to spam the site's comments or intentionally break some portion of the comment system.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but can’t you just run to Walmart pick up Prophesies for 20 bucks and start over? Create a new e-mail with your provider and off you go? Or do they have record of your address or something that will keep banning you. If that’s the case could you not have a friend set up the account on there system and then you log on remotely to the account? Just like the Phishing hackers do? Not trying to promote anything

At any rate, OP, you've got to contact NC Soft support and talk to them. I have no idea if they have some formal process for this sort of thing, or how actively they patrol new accounts to prevent banned players from rejoining. You'll just have to submit a support ticket explaining what you want and see what happens.

Anyone who has ever owned or ran a company PROPERLY will understand the liabilities and the damage control. I'm part of a multi-million dollar company that trades between the states and Australian. I wish not to see any black marks of alliances. But as I've said, All that Anet has really done has robbed you of X ammount of $$ and have given no compensation in return. I don't know what else to tell you. But there will have to be something done. Sorry I can't help you anymore than that. It's an unfair ban, unless you intentionally pulled yourself into it. |
Every company has these things called ULA and when we the consumer accept it that means the company can do whatevery they want to as long as it coinsides with the ULA. just like a contract.
If you really worked for a multi-million dollar company you would know this because your so called company has these agreements or contracts in place.
The EULA that they have us agree to states Anet can do whatever they hell they want when it comes to the accounts on there servers and all saved data aswell.

No one here has the answers for you. You need to ask Support or perhaps contact NC Soft via their website. We really don't need another thread going into what ANet can and cannot do, nor another thread talking about banning.
Closing.
