Nightfalls hero Reqs
Destro Maniak
I am flaying nightfall with my assassin and I use sabsway as hero build. But nightfall sometimes foolishly requires some heroes to continue. And having lvl 4 koss with me in heart or mind garden in danger doesnt help. In fact as he allways dies resurrects are used for nothin and I need to flag them away. Cant something be done. Its just plain annoying. If someone is neccecery make it in allies lst.
Squishy ftw
Send him alone into some mob and disable your res skills till his corpse is out of radar range and just do the quest with 7.

Uhhhh and the point of this thread is? Just to complain about the fact that ANet tried to make it where you need to level up your heroes together or join up with someone who has a high level hero that is required for the mission? You have to remember NF came before GWEN, it was trial and error with the heroes. ANet changed it in GWEN to where you don't need a specific hero to complete different quests. No offense but I think you can make it through NF without Sabway. Just level your heroes or join up with someone who has a level 20 hero. Simple

If you just accepted quest rewards with your low level heroes there wouldn't be a problem.

There is kinda no excuse for not having L20 hero by time you do these quests if you know whats coming. If you didnt know it was required, you have my sympathy, but still ... you needed to use him in couple of missions/quests before, don't tell me he is so hopelessly low level after kouma stuff you have to do with him.
Look on brighter side: your koss will be probably level 7-8 by time you are done with this thing.

how is koss level 4? I thought when you come from another campaign..you get koss, melonni, dunk, and tahl at lvl 15s
Aera Lure
Koss can die all he wants and you still should be able to get through things just fine with henchmen and/or other heroes until he's leveled. Failing that, you can go level him a bit somewhere with quest rewards...

well, you need koss in cemetery mission, which is enough to level him to 8-9 from L2 you get him at.
Icey
If you had him with you on earlier quests, he would had been leveled by then. I always take my low leveled hero's with me when I am questing, whether I need that hero at that time or not. Even during difficult missions, I take one lowest leveled hero, and fill the rest with my highest leveled hero's, the lowest leveled is not burden.

yeah, find a friend who can bring a lvl 20 koss, or OR i say, bring an MM, and let your monk take the slowest rez there is. then your mm will never run out of corpses, until Anet nerfs MMs AGAIN..
First MM nerf. Limit 10 minions at a time. Bummer, i have screenies in SF of 40 or so at a time.
Second nerf MM, can't use pets corpse. POO ruined b/p a bit there didn't ya. Urgoz willl never be the same.
I am sure theres more, but i am kinda a noob after only 3k hrs and 3 years, ana perm ban.

Sab's hero build is for HM, you don't remotely need it for non-elite NM. If you don't understand skill bars to the point where all you can run are builds other people gave you you should really step back and learn to play the game.

Leveling heroes is so simple an easy I don't see how anyone could have any low level heroes that played through the newbieland of Kamadan area. I switched out my heroes as they gained levels to keep them equally balanced and once I hit level 20 myself I just kept playing the first newbieland outside of Kamadan in hard mode with my less than 20 heroes. It was simple an easy and only took a couple or three times through it to get all of them to level 20's.

when i first got nightfall I beat it and realized my only max heroes where
Olias
tahlkora
Zhed.
HAHAHAHA
now all I would ever want if I had my game is the three NS
Olivia
master of whispers
Olias
ones an MM
ones an SS
ones a rit healer.

I made an MM/SSer with 15 death and 13 curses using SS and Parasite, Death Nova, barbs and summon 2 minions and the bleeder minion and saved a hero slot for another monk or fire ele.
One monk brings heal area to keep the minions alive between battles. The ele or another monk are necro 2ndary and bring blood renewal for the MM/SSer necro. Great combinations and hardly ever die. Me I can be anything I usually just stand back and watch or maybe wand a few things and playing hard mode as well.
BTW Puritan what is your Ritualist healing build? I might like to try something with a Rit instead of two monks.

whats the point of requiring heroes anyway?
Destro Maniak
okay okay maybe attack at kodash wasnt so hard but what about having lvl6 dunkoro in gate of pain???

None of the quests in Nightfall, that require a certain hero, are too hard to be done with just the basic hero, if the rest of the group is good enough.
Not entirely - Both of the quests you get from Gwen in the HoM require her, and there may be others.

The one piece of information that helped me the most was learning that my heroes get XP whenever I hand in a quest. With that knowledge, it was very easy to keep all of my team leveled by simply swapping in my lowest ones just before accepting any quest rewards. Combined with my somewhat obsessive nature about doing sidequests, I had no troubles keeping my entire stable leveled and ready for the occasional foray.
As to why we are made to bring specific heroes along at specific times, I'm sure the answer is basically 'story purposes', which tends to annoy me. While I can certainly understand story-driven hero requirements for a lot of the side quests (and perhaps a few missions), it seems to me that the campaign story should be primarily about your character interacting with the world - a focus that gets lost when 2 of 3 missions are about Hero X dealing with Antagonist Y, while you tag along as the 'leader'. I've not yet made it far into the GW:EN storyline, but from what I've seen so far the design team did a better job of bringing the focus back to your character with that story.
