ok from what i know its that when u get to rank 8 on any of the asuran deldrimor norn and vanguard title, u have to do HM to max it out --- say u get to 79 999 pts for one of the titles, can u hand in a normal mode hero's handbook and get 20 000 pts ending up with 99 999 pts when u start HM???

Yep - as long as you dont hit level 8 you can get points via normal mode books - though I would recommend handing a full dungeon master book in for 40K rep points instead which would push you to rank 9.

Dungeons take too long. Either do the five minute Path to Revelations farm for Norn and Snowmen for Delver, or do HM books to max out everything.

I maxed most all of mine out.
Bascially if you:
Do the missions -Turn in book.
Do the quests
Do the Dungeons -Turn in Book
Go into HM and do the missions and dungeons again, turn in books
Vanquish
You're basically maxed and need to do little to no farm at all.

Personnaly having to do all the dungeons sounds like a punishment.. just turn in the mission book.

I've been planning to use this technique to max out my titles for a long time. And since I like to do dungeons for the mastery points and possible greens, and don't mind doing the (short) storyline, this is a good way to max them out.

A word of caution - it works with books but be careful of the dungeons.
I got my Norn rep up to 79,987 and decided to do that exact thing. Stupidly I forgot the minor rewards for dungeon completion - I did one dungeon and it gave me EXACTLY 13 rep points.
I felt a bit stoopid, to be sure.

It probably gave you 13 rep points because thats all you needed to reach the 80,000 mark, im pretty sure most dungeons give you a couple hundred points.

That's interesting. I wonder if you'd have the same cutoff for handing in a book, in which case you would still be able to turn it in, but you wouldn't get much from it.
I may try that tonight - I think I have enough filled in on my dungeon guide to turn it in, and I'm about to go over R8 in one of the titles.

No you get a full amount, even if you're close to rank 8.

I turned in a book to max my Norn title and wound up over the max something like 160759, so you can go over the top when handing in books.
