Bring the GW:EN boss notification to other chapters
bilateralrope
In GW:EN when you aggro a boss you get a message on screen saying "Defeat <boss name>". I'd like to see this implemented in other chapters.
Puebert
Eh, I think it gets kinda annoying.
So no, cause I don't wanna always killa boss.
Besides, its not like I can't tell theres a boss there myself.

That notification has saved my life so many times. *cough* Molotov Rocktail *cough* I'd be behind this as long as you could disable this.
Shadowlance.
I'd vote for this change also as long as it was an option that could be toggled. At first I thought those messages were cool, but after awhile they started to get annoying. Having it be optional would be best.

This is a 'retroactive change'.
ANY retroative change will be good.
ALWAYS.
- Boss announcements.
- Talking NPCS.
- Weapon Crafters with different skins.
- Dungeon icon doors in the Tombs, sorrow's furnace, deep and urgoz, etc.
- End-mission chests.
- Inscriptions.
- Prophecies:
#Challenges
#Explorable versions of missions
#Green drops
#End-game area (Droknar's)
#End-game green
#End game animal companion
Etc, etc, etc...
So, of course, since this is a retroactive change, I can't be against it. Everything that is 'game system' should be the same in all campaigns.

O, btw, I apologize for giving my opinion? I'm not really sure what you want from me
MithranArkanere
Well, for me it's not distrating, It it a warning... like when in those shooters you racha final boss:
DANGER! DANGER!
Boss aproaching!
Ah... ye olde school games...

I was vanquishing Unwaking Waters today with a couple of friends and twice in that one area I didn't notice I was hacking and slashing away at a boss just because I had lost focus from vanquishing 2 other areas directly beforehand. It also makes them feel like more of a worth foe if they get to have their name flash up on the screen.
bilateralrope
Having the option to toggle the notification on/off would be a good idea.
Though I can see a lot of people thinking its a bug when they run into the snow ettin bosses in Griffon's mouth. Maybe they will finally get a name

I kinda like the message so...

But I do agree that it should be a toggle, for those that hate it.

Any features are released in a new campaign should eventually make its way back to the older games.
Oh, and did I mention /sign?

And you get that message in GWEN because of bounties where you are asked to kill a boss to get a reward. It doesnt really do any purpose because you can tell when you agro a boss in other campaigns because they attack you.
zwei2stein
I found it to be quite cool feature actually, and would not mind to have it in earlier chapters.

On topic. Notification will not really prepare you for something like that boss in Dalada Uplands and if you do know he's there, you won't need the notification.

It's been used in MANY games.
Metal Slug, Mars Matrix, Metal Gear...
The Togo Bonus Mission has an even increased version, with cutscenes, as a parody to Kill Bill movies.
The thing is that there are some monsters that are unnoticed between other creatures, even with the area.
And patrols that may be walking around, surprising you.
And the warning thing is wuite cool and somehow thrilling.
It help players getting into the game.

Well, all right, for thrills and atmosphere, but with the appropriate music to go with it.
Woop Shotty
Makes me think of the anncouncer's voice in TF2. Why does the game need to be so bossy!
