Mod for 7 heroes?

Ok, first of this is just a question, I havnt modded my game. But lets imagine if someone found a way to modify the game so that we could replace henchmen with heroes in PVE ONLY.

Would this be a good mod for the community? Would it just be a bannable exploit? Would Anet see any reason to allow this?

You beat the dead horse. Yes if someone modified the game to have 7 heroes without A-Net knowing about it, they'd be banned. (Not like it's possible).

A. It would be bannable, because the only way to implement this would be by changing the actual program.

B. Many people would welcome it, and perhaps just as many will deride it - saying it will kill PUGs, etc. Regardless, it would bring a new level of customizability to the game.

It would be bannable as the above said because you modified your gw.dat.

But what if anet were asked about the mod first before using it?

then they will probably answer with a "no".

I meant it as a purely hypothetical question, Im sure it cant be done. But if there was a way to replace alesia with dunk
and whatever skillbar you had on dunk is what I meant and wish it could be done :-(

you are not asking to mod something in the game.

You are asking to change a game meccanism witch cannot be done clientside.

The only thing you can do is replace the model of the henchmen the model of a hero.

I don't think ANET is going to do it, and the only way you could do it is a
hack (and probably a perma ban if caught).

They should just make 7 heroes available in pve.
I play ALL my pve with heroes and hench, so what does it matter anyway? Why are you limiting me from creating builds.

That being said, I play pvp.

You'd probably have to hack their server as well, not just your dat file.

Impossible? No. But, in all practicality, yes.
