Infused armor.
The Titan
General question here.
I've recently gone through all 3 Campaigns (Not eotn) on my sin, I'm now sitting in Abbadons mouth wondering why the last 3 people I've had in my party have gotten to ABBADON'S MOUTH without having infused there armor.
I'm pretty sure It's primary in Iron Mines to get it Infused.
Peoples thoughts and comments on this? (God, I love heroes and Henchmen, I'd be lost without them).

Infused armor is something that is only really needed in Prophecies.

People may have bought new armors and decided to help out on the mission, people may have been runned towards thunderhead keep, though i hardly see any runners there and that mission is a lot easier with infused armor on.
And having only one piece of armor infused helps quite a lot already.

They probably were ran to THK and therefore skipped infusion.
undeadgun
or used the Guild Hall Glitch

mrmango
Or just beat Iron mines without getting infused. Very possible in a PUG.

Happens to me so much - I have a lot of armor and generally not infused, since my main chars have beaten all campaigns and therefore have little to no need in coming back to Prophecies ones x]. Although I just helped a guildie with Ice Caves of Sorrow, thankfully no one cared for bonus - my current set wasn't infused.

I am just the opposite I infuse all my armor (yes also the ones on my factions and Nightfall characters) old habits die hard.

I buy a fair amount of on my Necro, and made it a point while I was doing the Prophecies campaign to get them all infused. After finishing the campaign I forgot about infusion (it was a pain to do), and helped a guildie do the Iron Mines mission and bonus, as well as thoroughly explore the area. My Monument wasn't infused (go me), but luckily I always carry my favourite set on me.
I learnt a good lesson that day: Always carry an infused set.

I've done these missions several times on my Ranger without Infused armour, only due to the fact that im lazy and want to wear my pretty armour. Its not hard just stick to the back and try not to get hit. Just let your monk know (if your PUG'ing or guild team) that your not infused so they can keep an eye on you.

What exactly does infusing add to your armor? I just did the mission and got my armor infused, but I am wondering what the precise benefits are.
Tutis Evito
decreases the damage the jade's do to you with there monster skill

Yeah you can go THk before doing iron mines so no need infuse if you dont want to.

Just keep in mind that "don't want to bother" and "create immense PuG frustration" go hand-in-hand when you're talking infusion.

Are 'henchmen' infused in HM? Only after Iron Mines? What about Granite Citadel and Copperhammer?
Tutis Evito
hench and heros come automactically infused
Snograt
To quote that gwiki article, "Thunderhead Keep is the first outpost where Henchmen start with infused armor".
Heroes and pets are always infused, henchmen are NOT.

Buy a new armor, forget to infuse it or you cba to do that, start a mission that needs infused armor and realize that you are missing it halfway through the mission... this is how it usually works.

I remember resently i was helping a guildy with THK who bought one of his friends because "he was really good at the game", the idea was he was bringing his warrior for one gate and i bring my warrior on the other. Sadly just as we get to the keep he says he isn't infused, being a warrior that isn't infused didn't make me leap for joy. Did i mention we were here for the bonus, oh yay more jades. He said its because he just got this armour. Still did it though, sometimes being cheap is ok, don't think i've been more pleased with the ursan blessing.

Here's a little tip. Combine infusion with an IDS run.
At the end of the area where the Imps can drop an Icy Dragon Sword, there is an "Ice Beast" that drops the stuff required by the Seer (also there) to infuse your armor.
