I've been playing Guildwars for 2 years now, and have always had the same email linked to my account. Recently I found that I could not log into my account because my email was mysteriously changed. I'm worried that I could have been hacked. My Guild members say that I logged on 6 days ago, which is really scary. Since then, I've been emailing support back and forth about this issue. They say I need proof of ownership, and I have included all my keys except the "original" key used to create the account. That key was on a piece of paper that I used over 2 years ago! Anyone could easily throw that away mistaking it for scrap paper. I also included receipts that showed proof of purchase. However, each and everytime they replied with "we would like to help" and "Sorry for any inconvenience caused". I would have thought that 4 out of 5 keys would show ownership, but apparently not. Is there anything else I can do? This is frustrating the hell out of me! I'm getting really desperate

Sound like your account just been hi-jacked, better scan your pc for some unwanted stuff, bot, spyware etc right away. Keep contacting the support, this had happened so many times before.

Noone here can really help you though, well good luck.

Argh, your only option is to persist with support - that really sucks. I would assume the problem is that it is the original key that identifies an account.

I wish I could change my access email as easily as thieves do :/

I don't see how 4 keys don't identify an account...

All but Faction, which I have bought was about to add when I realised that my email had been changed. I didn't even get one of those "change email" confirmation emails.

I used a Factions pre-order serial key that I forgot to trash to get an old and lost account back, so no it doesn't have to be the original serial key that you used to create the account.

Having a serial key doesn't necessarily prove that you purchased the account. I could post my serial key on the internet and have a dozen people contacting Anet with the same serial key, but were they the ones who bought the account? No.

EDIT:
You'll just have to hope that Anet gets back to you with a solution.

I can understand how they wouldn't accept just 1 random key, but 4? thats pretty hard to get online.

If support isn't helping maybe try to pm Gaile, maybe she can help you. She has helped people in the past so maybe theres something she can do.
