I started GW in may 2005, I have all adds on & 8 slots:
1 main character, a warrior with all secondary profs available & 7 mules which are played from time to time by my girlfriend + friends.
It is impossible for me to redo a known story with a second character. Weird.....and I still enjoy playing my Warrior. In fact I am hooked on it.
This is part of my lazy way of life......

But I know where you're coming from. Some of the ones I have in-progress in campaigns started out as mules but I figured I'd go ahead and play them "just a bit". I've learned to make my mules profs I definitely have no interest in playing again, like assassin and monk; I made 2 ele more mules after starting to play my 1st ele mule.
Some profs I have so much fun playing the 1st time, I make another one to try for Legendary Survivor on; that's how I made my 2nd rit and ranger and why I started playing the original ele mule.
Part of my problem is that I have so much decent weaponry collected and I hate standing around trying to sell stuff so I just keep buying slots to store it. Then, as with my 1st ranger (who was actually my 2nd ranger - my very 1st char was a ranger but I couldn't get the hang of so I made him a mule and eventually deleted him when I needed a slot); he was supposed to be a mule as I didn't want to try playing a ranger again but when I started to store all my amassed bows on him, I looked at them and thought "hey, these are some pretty nice bows, let me try him out for just a bit". Really glad I did cause I loved it and am now working on the new one. lol

4 are my original tyrian toons...then last year made another so 5 tyrians (and one tyrian mule hanging in ascalon as well as one pre-sear necro)
6 canthans (and 6 mules)
5 elonians (and 3 mules).
16 are level 20 (all but the mules and the pre-sear). 7 have finished prophecies, 9 have finished factions (one has the palace and shiro to do to finish), and 7 have completed nightfall. 6 have all their primary and secondary skills (I dont change secondaries). 1 has level 1 koabd, 2 are 2 short of it.
I play them ALL, except one that is working on level 3 survivor (my dsl has been flakey and I dont want to die of lagg)...some days I like to play mesmer, other days I want to kill with my hands so my warrior gets play time, some days I play mm (ugh...my least favorite to play other than healing monk, my monks all smite).....

All have the needed skills to go PVE and PVP. All have finished all 3 campaigns and eotn, so I used all of them from time to time and its a hell transferring items stored in each characters. But my rit is the main man now so the transferring items had ease.

I only have one character. I will probably make more characters, but no more than the default number of slots I get. I feel that this game is an RPG, not strategy. It's all about ur character. I don't see how those people who have over 8 characters can even keep track of them all. I mean, some people make a character for the sole purpose of farming or doing a very specific type of mission/killing a specific type of monster. I don't see how the game can be an RPG anymore. That's just my opinion.
