I am wondering if anyone else gets the blue screen every time they get a update for GW.
It happens every time for about a year now, GW sends a update I dl it and load GW a min goes by and boom the blue screen of death. It only happens 1 time every update and only after a min or so of being loged in.
If anyone else has had this problem any tips on how to fix would rock but it is no big deal does not happen enough.
Thanks again,

Are you able to make out the error during the blue screen or is it to fast?

would using the -diag help diagnose it?

It seems that the majority of these oddball GW-only problems result from a corrupted gw.dat file. The usual fix is to delete gw.dat and do the -image thing.

A blue screen comes with an error message. More info on the error message will tell us what is causing the problem. Might be ram or a device driver. More info pls

I think it is a device driver my video card just started getting a critical error and shuts down my control center which only causes GW to black out 2 times then it is fine. (This just started to happen so im not sure it is the cause maybe just a nother problem poping up from the blue screen) its a simple error code for my video card (VPU has encountered a critical error and will shut down to avoid damg to your computer)
The next update is friday so I will post the error code after the update.
Thanks everyone for the help so far.

When's the last time you blue screened? There should be an entry in your System event log.

Get the STOP code from the blue screen. You can also access your Event Viewer by going to Start > Run > eventvwr.msc and checking under Application and System. You can copy the error logs when viewing an individual event. Press the Copy icon (two papers).
