What Are "Branch Of Juni Berries" For?

I just looked up on guild wiki & it said something about them being involved in the hatching of a black moa chick mini pet. I also read that you need Proph, Factions, Nightfall & GW:EN in order to get the Black Moa. I'm missing GW:EN but just got the Juni Berries from a quest.

I was just wondering why this was even made available to me seeing as I don't have GW:EN.

I mean, is there any other use for the berries or should I just drop them?

Thanks.

I don't know of any other use; it's a standard quest reward that was there before Eye of the North was released.

However, I think the only thing you need from GW:EN to get the black moa chick is a honeycomb, and I *think* you could get one from another player. Which makes me wonder if you do actually require GW:EN to get it (maybe someone else here knows for sure?).

So surely it should have another use if the aquisition of a black moa wasn't available until GW:EN but you could still get the Juni Berries even before GW:EN was released

Oh yeah duh sorry about that - I have been having a blonde day (like beyond blonde.. meh maybe sleeping sometime would help?).

You can always get them later with another char if you need them; I personally got rid of them when I couldn't find a use for them after a few months, and just came back later with another character and nabbed them.

IIRC you can't have the incubator until you have Zho's journal and I don't remember if it's customised to the character (which would prevent selling it).

The Black Moa Chich is one of the most enjoyable PvE experience I've ever had in GW, going into SF's Final Assault with a full incubator was memorable!

To get the black moa chick you must have all 3 campaigns and the GW:EN expansion. The following items are exclusive to the campaigns. All the other items can be bought/traded.

Prophecies: Necessary to complete the Sorrows Furnace quests.
Factions: Incubator
Nightfall: Nesting material
GW:EN: Zho's journal

Happy hunting!

Zho's journal is customized so you can not purchase it from another player.

There are several items available in the game that seem to have no use. Many of them have become useful in GW:EN but there may be others that still have no purpose. Only ANet knows whether these things were planned for later use, or if they just never got around to using them.
