Not sure if this has been suggested before, but just something that's always been in the back of my head
If someone's trying to get into your GW account, it would be nice if there was some notification screen during log-in that would state how many incorrect login attempts since your last successful login
reasons are obvious
perhaps you could stipulate in a preferences menu that if your account has been unsuccessfully attempted to login xxx amount of times (you set that number), it's locked out for either a certain amount of time, or until you do some measure to unlock it.
the more time that goes by, the more people accumulate wealth, and the bigger the target people become
Log-in screen notification that your account has xxx incorrect login attempts

Technically /signed, my account has already been hacked once.
Thankfully I got it back.
However, I think they can't do this, from the way my account was hacked and the way I got is back it was quite obvious that NCsoft/playNC overwrites all GW account propositions, meaning that such locking and unlocking is done from a playNC account.
And the annoying thing about that is, the playNC account is the boss over the GW account, if the playNC account has been registered, the locking, password changing and account details changing, must all be done through playNC because if you do it trough GW the connected playNC account refuses the GW account the authorization to change it's own data.
But I guess a Anet could disscus with NCsoft to send the amount of failed logins to playNC, who could then add and option to lock and unlock based on that info.

ANet still needs to address the security concerns that linking your account to NCSoft causes. This should have been in the game a year ago. I suspect the problem is with NCSoft. Good idea, though.

edit: @Kanyatta: Currently, there is no notification to players that their account is subject to "brute-force" password attacks. These programs run tirelessly, continually, and much faster than a human.

BTW, tirelesslessly is not a word.

You will not be able to reset/change passwords or anything to get the hacker out, if you do not own the NCsoft account to which your GW account is registered, you lose all control of your GW account.
It took around a week and me faxing copies of my GW CD key's and receipts to England to get my GW account registered to a newly created NCsoft account.
