Hello all,
ever since the battle music themes have been integrated into the game, I'm having this thought I'd like to share (and hope that I am not the only one feeling this way ):
I am a huge fan of Jeremy Soule's work. There isn't one piece of music he has written that I dislike.
But having the battle themes trigger each time a fight breaks out (which is 95% of the time you play Guild Wars *d'oh!*), is totally unnerving. Although it nicely fades in and out, it still interrupts the current music.
And, honestly, after a couple of times having a battle theme errupt every few seconds and disturbing my enjoyment of the beautiful background music of Mr. Soule's, I usually completely turn off the music to not have to listen to the same "Hurray, you're in the middle of a heroic fight!" theme(s) over and over again.
So, here's my plea to ArenaNet:
PLEASE, introduce a sound option by which every player can decide for themselves whether they want battle themes to trigger (and interrupt the common background music) or not!
Thanks.

P.S. Before people starting asking, "Well, if you are a fan of JS's music, then why don't you like the battle themes?":
I do like the battle themes. I just don't like having a piece of music being interrupted every few seconds by another piece, which then again gets interrupted in the middle as well to turn back to the former or yet another piece of music, etc. (you get the point).
Therefore, I'd prefer to have an option to put an end to that constant musicus interruptus fest that takes place in Guild Wars and really goes on my nerves.

I don't get the battle themes anytime, only when the fight it's against 4 or more enemies, or when it lasts more than 1 or 2 minutes...
Maybe it's just that I have DirectSong upgrades.
But it should be like that for anyone, if it is not.
