Re-Instaleld Guildwars with Prophecies CD
JPT1
I had to reinstall the game becase GW been crashing on me. I have all the threee campaign and I do not want to sit and wait to download every map. Is there a way for me to dl the maps somewhere else?

Honestly, IMO the best way would be to download all in one go with the "-image" variable at the end of the command line in the shortcut.
2nd best would be with a CD/DVD that contains all campaigns including EOTN.
getting the maps and other content thru other means would not be beneficial.
PS : Some people keep a copy of the GW.dat file for those such cases, but make sure you dont have a bad copy.

You can run "wherever-your-gw-install-is\Gw.exe" -image (or create a shortcut on the desktop with that as the destination) and it will download all of the files. It does take an awful long time, so maybe choose a time when you won't want to be playing, like when you go to bed or work or school or something.

The EotN CD probably has the newest version of the Gw.dat on it, so should reduce the required download time the most. After that, using the -image command is the best way.

Yep pretty much only install the eotn. Then -image.

So something like this, "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" "-image"
BenjZee
right click on it and go properties. Then write that in the target spot

yes, except without "..." on the image part I think

If i copy the all GW directory in a dvd and then i copy on a new computer?
will this method work?
will this method work?

I'm pretty certain that would work for GW.dat, but I'd expect things to have to be written into other parts of your computer, like the registry, for that you would have to install from an original CD or download the client from the GW website.
Perhaps after an install replacing everything with the files from the DVD you wrote might work, but I'd definately think you would have to install first...I'm no expert though.

Maybe you're are right for the registry....but saving gw.dat and work will be a lot earn of time
