Backfire on Heros

Anyone want to explain why my heros never use backfire? Regardless of any caster I fight I literally have to micro manage backfire and it's getting quite annoying.

I'm not sure but there's a list of skills that heroes somehow don't use.

I think I read somewhere that they can "learn" a skill bar, but until they do, you have to micro manage. I think it also depends on where it's placed on the skill bar. I always arrange the heroes skill bar in the order that I want them to use the skills.

From what I have observed, their use of Backfire seems to depend on what weapon the enemy is wielding. If it's not a staff or a wand, they are not casters in the eyes of the heroes.

They can't. Really.

Bingo. Same applies to enemy NPCs. If you are an ele and you use a caster sword, you will never be targeted by backfire and other "anti spell" skills.
So... depends on what your fighting (ruby dijn for instance won't get targeted).

I noticed that a long time ago. My monk never gets any kind of anti-caster hexes, but he does get blinded a lot... as if that's really gonna help.
