Less chance of inscription?
EndlessDivination
Recently before update i've done opened tons of chests. Not a single Grape was left un inscribable. Now... Well after like 20 chests i already get 2 uninscrip grapes. No way in ...heck that is just chance. Anyone else realize the same thing? Ofcourse, yes im opening chests where there are inscribables

finishing the deep, end chest drops for me req9 zodiac sword > me YAY!!! > identify it just to not have an insc > merchant and bad mood later >thanks anet, day ruined. Only remedy to this > Golds and purples that are supposed to be inscribable SHOULD HAVE atleast an inscription even if it would be crappy.

I've had a couple of golds with no inscription slot. Just like getting a pre-nightfall weapon with no inherent mod, this has always been in the game.

None recently. I've only found a very few rare skins (I have around 1600 hours mostly doing things other than farm so I guess I can't expect to find that many either), of those the "best" (and elemental sword) was un-inscribable. I found a req9 gold fellblade two weeks ago that was, and I've also found a lower req gold colossal sword that was. After those crap drops the only "rare" I have found that was useful was an oni sword - I found it the old way from a chest drop in normal about a month after the release of HM and it's huge price drop - OH well.
So, that is MORE than within the realm of possibility. 3 of the five total rares I have ever found were that way and the other two were not inscribable. In fact, those are the only three golds or purples I have found that way. I would say my luck is even more rotten than yours and I'm not alone (or as bad as I have heard).
While it could be a new bug that is well within chance, there are enough players *someone* has to be out in the +/- 3 or 4 standard deviations - sucks to be us but such is random.

Around 25 chests opened today (25 keys used - not sure how many I retained) while SS/LB farming, no uninscribable drops so far.
There is nothing in one person getting two in a row that invalidates it being chance - there is nothing if one person reports getting 10 in a row. Changes haven't "definitely been made". You need well over 20-25 runs before something like the Law of Big Numbers comes into play. There is no such thing as a Law of Averages and having one uninscribable item drop has absolute no bearing on the chance that the next one will be one or not (see Gambler's fallacy - it is a common, but wrong, belief that this is a truth).
That's not to say something *hasn't* changed either - we need more data. They weren't terribly uncommon before, in fact as I had said my past record is abysmal compared to yours - both in terms of uninscribable golds *and* grapes (since the latter are merch food anyway I never really care). I've found a good 10 or so of the things and am rank 2 of treasure hunter on my "main" (no more than 100 chest between the others). But then compared to what other people post I seem to be VERY unlucky with chest drops.
