This could probably go under farming but anyways...
Does anyone notice that dervishes are not good farmers...
Ive looked at builds and tried some out but there are always two outcomes
1. The build does damage but you die off easily
2. You stay alive for a while but dont really kill anything
any suggestions to the problems?

Have you tried the 130 solo derv? If you havent then that is one you need to try because it can easily farm many bosses to get their green items.

I never really found the 130 derv all that powerful for some reason. Definetly doesn't beat my 55. Can someone plz tell me if it worth trying VwK on the 130 Derv with a few modified skills?

130hp derv needs to be /Mo for prot spirit.... Cant use VwK as it is a rit skill.

Well, TBH it could be possible to do a VwK Dervish, by loading crap of defensive enchantments to keep you alive (the no-elite tank build was here somewhere...). But you could run into energy problems so yeah... I guess we're left with good old 130HP and 80HP.

I've had some luck with a 600 dervish/smiter team... I wanted to try out dual farming CoF and didn't have a monk. Really the constantly on and off spirit bond (along with high mysticism) helps energy-wise quite a bit. I'm still tweaking, but a standard 600 monk build with dwayna's touch and Pious Renewal or Arcane Zeal does pretty well.
edit: scrap the elite... standard 600 build (with 750ish life
), dwayna's touch, eternal aura (huge AoE holy damage), pain inverter. Doing quite nicely.

Actually I may just try making a 130 D/Rt. It may work with damage reduction and a few more defensive spells. Just putting it out there

i used to solo farm ecto with my derv, took about 18mins a run, but since ive found faster builds i havent been using it.

I just put together a D/Rt solo, looks like it will work, I'm gonna test it. If it works well, then, may I be damned.

my d/mo 130 solo owns the "scythe solo" any day. i use enchantments that hit everything around me and prot spells to keep me alive. i got 12 prot and rest on earth, and i own the trolls outside of droks. Dervs can be great farmers, but making the build took me 3 hours of testing. good luck matching it.

If people can successfully use those farms, so can you. If you're dying or not killing things, you're doing something wrong. The only real advice someone can tell you is stop doing something wrong. If you find a build and are having problems with it, post in the thread. If you found it somewhere else, ask there. If there's nowhere to ask, make a thread in the farming forum.
