Its been a year since we posted a Farming rule and regulation thread. Because of the recent Spam and closed topics, I felt an update was needed. We are trying to create a more stable and easier to read sub-forum.
------------------------------------------
If you violate these rules your thread will be closed:

1. Asking "What is the best farming build?"
Reason: There is no "best" as "best" differs from person to person as it is an opinion.

2. Asking "What are some good farming spots for (insert profession/build here)?"
Reason: Most likely you haven't looked around well enough (look past page one and two and search). We also don't want numerous posts for each profession/build asking for "good" farming spots as that would just clutter the whole section.

3. Posting generic questions.
Reason: This is where someone makes a thread with little more than 'I need a build for this', without making any attempt to help themselves by searching or posting any information about themselves like profession/s or campaigns.

4. Asking for a popular build/spot when it can be found on the first or second page.
Reason: Self explanatory.

5. Asking "How do I make gold fast?"
Reason: Do I even NEED to express how many times this question has been asked/answered/thread closed?

6. Posting a rage/complaint thread.
Reason: It's not like we can do anything to the game so please dont rage about how you cant find that "uber sword" and you've been farming it for hours on end etc.

7. Asking where a certain boss/item drops.
Reason: Guildwiki and GuildWarswiki have all the answers you need for simple questions like this.

8. Not bothering to search.
Reason: Help yourself before you ask us. You can look on the Wiki (official, non-official, PvX), search the forum, browse the forum, read the stickys, etc.
------------------------------------------
If you violate these rules your posts will be deleted:

1. Posting Rude, Flaming Comments.
Reason: We want to keep our forum clean and fun, if you don't have something constructive to say, walk away from your keyboard.

2.Cursing.
Reason: It doesn't make you any smarter to curse to bring your point out. In fact, it makes you appear very dumb. Keep this in mind whenever you post anywhere.

3.Telling someone their build stinks, and being a jerk about it.
Reason: We don't like jerks.

4. Think before you type.
Reason: If what you write is something that most might consider to be borderline mental retardation, expect criticism, and possible deletion of your posts.

5. Don't troll.
Reason: Because nobody likes trolls.
------------------------------------------
The easiest way to not get your threads locked is by following this simple 4 step process before posting a thread here:

1. Figure out what your question is
2. Use the search then look through the first few pages of the section to see if a thread already exists
3. If it is an OLD thread don't revive it but if it is new and up to date post your question in it.
4. If you can't find anything on your topic create a new thread.
-------------------------------------------
Note: the farming section is a discussion area for all things farming including: builds, areas, strategy, etc.

Things that do not belong in the farming area:

The selling of items (thats what the sells section is for)

If you have a suggestion post it in Sardelac (note I said suggestions not ranting)
-------------------------------------------
Also please note that the moderators here (including myself) on GWG are trying our best to judge what is appropriate and inappropriate and what should and shouldn't be closed. If something is closed mistakenly we are sorry for the inconvenience but you must realize that we try our best and are not getting paid for doing this. This is more of a service to our Guild Wars Guru community as some of us have jobs, families, school, and other obligations in life.

Please take what is written into consideration whenever you post or make threads in the Farming Section.
