In that case, once you've run it (or whatever, I forget how it works), it should work automatically when you start Guild Wars.

OK, thanks, just begun NF, so I'm not familiar with the music, so I dunno when and where bonus tracks will be audible, fingers, legs and eyes crossed that it works

Press F11 and watch the DirectSong icon at the bottom of the Sound page. When it lights up, the music playing is the bonus stuff.

F11 will tell you if DS is playing bonus music or not. If the DS icon is lit up, it's bonus music, if not, it's regular ingame.

Wish I knew, but I've never been able to download the music since I only use firefox and DirectSong does some weird blocking thing for people who don't use IE as their primary browser. *angry*

Thanks a lot, I'll give that a go

*Lol Direct Song has encountered an error, jeez, I'm starting to wish I'd never opened that lil booklet now

I found a FAQ for the problem I'm having on Direct Song website, didn't fix it, thanks a lot for the help guys, but I'm giving up, for the addition of a just few more music tracks, this is unecessarily difficult. I don't think it will kill me to play with the standard music as long as the game is good

Could you tell us the error? Did you try and play the music after it was downloaded*? If so, Windows Media Player may not have downloaded the license, which is why it crashed

*After downloading the music, the flash installer will attempt to play the license installation file. If Windows Media Player is not set to automatically do this (have to go into the options menu and check the automatic license installation if it's not already set up that way), the installer will crash. Furthermore, so long as DirectSong is installed, it will have preference over areas in which its music will play, and when you enter those areas without the proper license, Guild Wars will crash.

I don't think that was the problem. IIRC, you need to be able to utilise ActiveX within IE for DirectSong/Windows Media Player to download and install the music+license for you.

I played and could listen to them with media player, after wasting 2 of my 5 licenses (cookie problems apparently, although I changed no settings it worked on 3rd try)

But when I load GW's and press F11, there is Direct Music has encountered an error, like I said though the step by step fix for the exact problem I had on the DMusic website didn't work

It's like the original ingame music, but better. You can listen to some samples on directsong.com, and there is one free downloadable pak.

Get the Sorrow's Furnace Minipak. I never went through SF without it. It is incredibly immersive, and playing SF with normal music is just a massive letdown.

Btw I love your avatar.

I think GW doesn't know where to find your music files. Try re-download and run one of the music packs and change where it wants to save the files to. Then move all your other DS music packs to that folder. There will be a root folder with the some files, and a folder for each music pack.

I did, I redloaded the files twice (seems i can dload the music infinetly to my comp, at first i dloaded to desktop, then deleted and dloaded to default folder, I even tried having music files on desktop and DMusic folder (default), always get the yellow triangle with a ! in it (in f11 game), I could listen to the music with media player.
i'll be honest, so far, I'm loving NF, the bonus tracks are exactlly that

I just wish that the bonus tracks would be easier to imply, wish they were unlocked by an online key like when I bought Factions online

#Or maybe a NF remix Version of "Who Let The Necros Out!" P
