Why Is My Alliance Faction Going Down?

I am the leader of a guild & I keep increasing our alliance faction by participating in Alliance Battles. I had 25,000 faction yesterday but looked today and only have 20,000. It has done this a few times now. Why is it reducing?

Same for everyone. QQing I believe is meant for Riverside and Suggestium.

It goes down by 10% every day to prevent major alliances holding towns for ever and ever and ever. If it slowly decreases then other alliances have a chance of owning a town.
